Transfer switch / heads up.

............ So I thought I'd go ahead and exercise my Gen. today.....started her up & turned on my AC's to have the gen. run under load. After running, shut it (Gen.) down then turned both AC's OFF (so I thought) & plugged back into shore power. When I went back out to the coach later on, noticed 120v coming into the coach but "ON then immediately OFF" WHAT??....... heard "clicking" at the transfer switch. My first thought was a defective transfer switch on my 3month old Redwood .......GREAT !! Not !!! My son felt like it was possibly being caused by something tripping the switch. DW went back on the coach &.........yep I never turned off the bedroom AC which was tripping the transfer switch since it is plugged into a 15amp outlet. Just a heads up.

Almost embarassed to say that I never pay attention to the "automatic transfer switch". At home, to exercise the Onan, I even start the generator while still plugged into shore power, then have to run outside to shut off the 50a breaker on my house. Never had any issue, but heard of several who have. Only time I've had an electrical issue was when I didn't have the pigtail twisted sufficiently after inserting to pick up both legs.
