So here's the deal, my loving wife just bought me a 3500psi washer for my truck and trailer. But the problem is getting the spots off of it after I wash them. As you all know I have the full body paint and it looks like hell unless I hand wash it. What are your secrets on keeping these clean and spot free?

Dave: I use one of those hardware store rubber/foam squeegees. About 18" wide and fits on an extension pole. The real secret is to wrap a soft towel over it and keep moving the towel because is gets wet in the contact area. You could also use a damp shamwow type cloth over the squeegee instead of the towel. Usually do two sides-wipe first side and so on. Has worked for 25+ years. The windows are the hardest as they will show how much moisture your towel contains. You'll see.

Dave, the last couple of times I washed my trailer I ran the hose through my water softener and got great results. I washed and rinsed the trailer and my black truck and they were nearly spotless when they dried.
Your results may vary.....

I have used the CR Spotless De-Ionized Water System for years at home. You can literally wash a black vehicle in full sunlight on a hot day and just let it drip dry. It will not spot! They cost $249 at Amazon. Copy this link.

Just another option, for what it's worth. Edited by: John317
