Westlake tire issue 2018 RW

On our 2018 3401RL, about 5000 miles on it, the drivers side rear tire lost its complete tread. I put the max air at 122psi and drive mostly ay 63 mph. We are not full timers but take the rig out in the summer for 1 month 3k miles and 4 other shorter trips throughout the year.To be honest, this rig is babied.... especially tires with TPM and kept well within the max psi range.
Why would this happen so early in tire life? They are the 17.5 West lake and it tore up the fender and some of the underside fabric.
Anything I should do better? What tires should I replace with? I drive in fear.

Cheap junk tires installed OEM. Get rid of the others before they do the same.
I was running the GY G114 17.5s and had one let go on the way to last years Rally. Local Tire Dealer in Elkhart had a great deal on the Salun 17.5 so have 5 new tires and new wheels delivered to the campground. Only 4500 miles on them so far, but no issues.

We got lucky and ran our Westlakes about 10K miles with no trouble, but they get terrible reviews and I figured I was on borrowed time with them. I went to 17.5 Sailuns because of good reviews from many users. We now have near 15K miles on them trouble free.

i have a 2018 3991rd that we bought new 2 years ago next month..We have the Westlakes also ...Im not sure how many miles but I estimate at least 20,000.. Tires have worn well with zero issues ...but having said that i just recd some Saliuns that i will have mounted before we leave here once things calm down and restrictions are lifted.. I dont want to press my luck so im changing them out.
