Does the topper on your truck interfere with hooking up the RW much?? Should keep the hitch protected! LOL!

Sold our dining table with the wall bracket, going to have a buffet built this fall similar to the newer RWs minus the outdoor tv. Boy did that open the area.

Disc brake install update

Since it is 65 degrees, sunny and breezy here in central Colorado, decided to continue on with the brake install

Got the line plumbed through the battery compartment, down the frame to the axles. Pulled the old brakes. This is the second set of drum brakes since we bought it. First set failed due to grease blowout on the seals. This set had about 4000 miles on it. Pieces of brake shoe came out when I pulled the drum

Got the caliper bracket torqued on, the rotors on and spinning nicely, calipers went on easy and torqued. Flex brake lines hooked up and connected to the series of "T's" required.

Done for the day, beverage in hand and pretty whooped.

Might work on the other side tomorrow.

Oh, I think I only called Ron twice. Might have been three times, but hey, who's counting at this point

Bearing repack today. I hunted some new super Heavy Duty seals. These seals are made for Ag usage. They have steel on both sides. Double lip and made of nitrile for oil and chemical brake down resistance. These are the nicest seal I have ever seen. During placement one side of the steel has a bevel so the go in one way.

Yesterday was not fun. Woke up to a strong smell of propane. Opened everything then went looking with a brush and soapy water. The curb side fixed gas regulator was streaming propane out of the small hole located on the front housing. The drop in pressure was detected by the furnace shutting it down and waking to chilly temperatures. Replaced the regulator, pulled the furnace for a double check and discovered an intermittent sail switch. Replaced the sail switch and computer board for insurance. All is well so completed the long day sitting at the lake font watching the sun set and with something stronger than water for additional comfort.

You were darn lucky to have the parts available on such short notice.

So which regulator was it, the changeover, or the other one? Curbside would be the "other" one on mine, but they aren't all the same.

The RV service guy carries the sail switch and computer board as they are usually the problem with the Suburban furnace. He did have to make a short run for the fixed regulator.

The fixed regulator is located on the curb side. This is the second one to fail (the first failure did not result in a gas leak). Was lucky the high pressure leak didn't cause a fire or explosion. Apparently there is an internal diaphragm that burst allowing the high pressure gas to flow from the small orifice.
