Main reason we went to the rally last Aug. 1 RW tech said changing the hinges would fix it and the other said the frame was installed crooked. #2 won so we got a frame/door assembly replacement approved. And some other things.
Make sure they remove the pad above the door on the inside to verify the frame was installed wrong.

Good luck

Thanks Rick. They already replaced the original door and this new one is doing the same thing

Not sure if this counts. But just replaced the top plastic rails on my truck. Getting good at it because every time I turn with the RW attached they get tore up.

Needed to replace them so that I can install the Roll-N-Lock cover tomorrow. Now when I turn I can tear up the cover and the rails.

Coloradolivin,

Do you store there or camp there? I also was going to say you need walls and a roof, but I guess that wouldn't work if you are staying inside.

So we store the rig year round here. Thought about doing at least a roof, but that would have required a footer in the slab. Excavation for the footer would have required a backhoe and probably either block or the foam block to build a sort of retaining wall as the slope was quite severe. Could have gone with sonotube I guess, but again needed at least a bobcat with auger. It would have also required a building permit. Soo, I went with just a slab. Saved a few bucks. We sometimes go out to watch a movie with friends, or just hang out. I have dedicated 50 amp from the shop and have a sat dish to hook up to Dish. Later this spring, I might put in a 500 gal tank and a short leach field for septic. Then we would be good to go if you wanted to "camp" there.

I would just be nice to have the land to do all that! I priced out a fantastic pole barn garage at the RV show in Denver. You probably saw them there. I would just need to move to make it happen.

Hey Dave, the main slab was 13' wide by 32' long at 6 inches. The patio slab is 7' by 22' at 4 inches. We poured it in one pour as a mono pour with a light brushed finish. It gives me enough room to roll around underneath and if we want to open the patio awning, have enough room for chairs etc.

That sure looks good! We're getting ready to put up a 40x60 pole barn that should be done by the time cold weather hits again. The quotes we're getting are 6 inches and 5000psi. They claim that will be enough, maybe I should get some more opinions.

Dave
6" will hold a cement truck, that would be thick enough. The biggest factor is at least 90% compaction of the base.

Shane, thank you! I have very little knowledge of concrete. I started out just wanting a concrete pad so the RV would stop sinking. Then last fall I got some large steel grating from a factory and that solved the sinking problem. Then we decided to get the RV out of the weather and give me a place to store it without having to worry about winterizing. I keep getting bids and although the contractors just want to get the job, I want to make sure we do it right the first time.

This little project keeps getting bigger and more costly. We're now planing the heated floor and bathroom.
