I have a Roll n Lock cover. Three years old, works fine and has had everything from hail to 3' of snow on it with no issues.

No, it's not electric. Decided I didn't want another part that could go bad. No drone just standing on the roof of my work truck.
I can't see hail doing any damage but then again we don't have much hail in this neck of the woods.
It looks like it should be waterproof except by the front bed wall. It sits on the plastic bed sides so may need to make a filler if it becomes an issue. I did get a bit worried at first with the clearance of the hitch but ended up with about 1" to spare.
For all you GMC owners, have you noticed that the inside dimension of the top bed rails are about 1-5/8" difference? It took some adjustments to make it work correctly. Back is smaller then the front. Not sure why they would do this. Our Ford was perfectly square.

I really loved mine, and now my daughter is loving it. I think the truck would get hail damage before it would ever bother the Roll n Lock. I hadn't seen the Patriot before, but it looks nice!

I loved my Roll N Lock on my last truck , now I love my Pace Edwards just as much.. What I like about this one is that I can open the tailgate without opening the cover.... My older Roll N Lock used to latch to the tailgate, that was a pain..

If it went to the RV dealer I'm presuming you got a reasonable price for it since it was all set up to tow.

I add a EMS surge protector to the RW today. Now Im dealing with running the cable from the battery compartment to inside the unit. I pulled the three screws from the garage ceiling and found a vent that goes inside the bedroom drawer. Does any one know what that would be used for.

Possible just another return air for the furnace, unless it has a duct attached..

What you have there is a Sock Drawer Warmer. Very handy in colder climates.

I had that too on my 2014 36RL. I forgot about it. I think it was return rather than supply.

I did the same job over last weekend and what a bear of a job! Spent considerable time sitting in the battery compartment twisting my torso like in the "Exorcist"!

There isn't a wide enough surface to screw it to on the firewall. Had to make a mounting panel next to the transfer switch. Did I mention how stiff and inflexible that 6ga wire was! Ugh...

The included cable to the control unit was about 5' too short if you mount it near monitor panel (on the RL). Despite calling it a "data cable", just go get any modular telephone cable of 20 or 25' from HD.

I ran the control cable from battery compartment through the street-side propane compartment. Then, underneath the basement ceiling, behind the wall, past the converter & then up inside to the monitor compartment.

So glad it works because I wouldn't want to spend any more time inside that generator/battery compartment.

Jim

I installed the Progressive Ind. hard wired unit on our RL and put the readout in the slide switch/awning switch cabinet by the front door. I ran the display cable in the ceiling of the basement and then up the wall by the thermostat to the inside of the front door cabinet. Took me most of the daylight hours to do it, but we used the display last winter due to campground power problems to manage our heat/ac operation so we wouldn't shut the coach down on low voltage.

That's where I would like it. I was trying to find a short cut from pulling out everything from the basement and taking down the wall.

With the Bona wood treatment I cleaned all the interior wood. Wow - what a lot of wood surfaces! I had been cleaning with a spray intended to help with dust removal. The wood really looks new. There were many areas that had a white like appearance that came right off. Lots of elbow grease but the DW was really pleased when she returned from a business trip. Always good to get those points! Also installed 120 VAC outlets in the new buffet with integrated USB ports then LED push-on/ push-off light pucks up inside the buffet recessed area so we could see the outlets when plugging in. Also serviced the toilet. I have noticed it was taking a long time for the flush valve to close. Dug out the service manual which recommended silicone spray (safe for plastics) application on the flush valve surface, gasket and pedal area. It now snaps shut like an alligator jaw and saves water.

Since my wife worked tonight and she is the keeper of my medical restrictions, I took this time to wash the trailer ..

It's against all my orders, but a quick $20.00 to my oldest daughter to assist, and shush money, it looks great !

I would rather beg for forgiveness, than ask for approval... And BOY it was worth it , she is CLEAN !!!

Char had me working again today!!

Took out the couch and added a Flex Steel electric duel recliner. Also built a custom shelf above. Now onto the next item on her list!

Looks nice and comfortable, does it have Pixie Dust sprinkled on it like my Lane Theater seating unit has ?
