G614 Tires!!
Yep, I upgraded, but only to the G614. Still had the Westlake's from the factory and they had about 6000 miles on them.
Found the G614's at an all time low price of $281 plus tax - $305 ea w/ free shipping. Found them on Amazon Tuesday last week, during their "Prime Day". Ordered them around 1am Tuesday, and were delivered on Wed. morning. Got 2 installed on Wed and 2 on Thursday at he local Goodyear store, although they did not have the bolt-in valve stems, those came from Napa.. Anyway - about $110 for stems, mounting and balancing. (Sorry) Today they are $312.97... Crazy what a week's difference makes.. I was going to post last week but had a 200 mile trip planned Friday thru Monday.. Tires seem to be a great upgrade for me at this time..
Sorry "Ron" but one day I will really upgrade to the 17.5 - I just could not pass up on this deal...

Over the past three days, about 4 hours per day, (It's hot here-almost 100 Deg.- so I didn't work long days) I installed the Titan Disc Brake system. Our Redwood is all ready to go for a checkout trip. Must say that Ron at Performance Trailer Braking was wonderful to work with. He was very patient with my questions as I went through the installation. Can't wait to test out the new better brakes.

Well , I started replacing my Tri-Glide first thing this morning with the new Flex Air.. That took me a couple of HOT hours .... Then I washed the Redwood , that took me a few hot hours... Then Ron's installers stopped by around 5pm to look at my system..
My street side front wheel has been getting a lot of brake dust, and throwing off a lot more heat them the other 3...
I knew I had a problem, when I pulled the wheel and had all resistance trying to spin it while in the air..'
Turns out I had a caliper go bad ( only less then 2K miles )... Luckily I had a loaded caliper as a spare, it went on, and all is perfect now.. The pads that came stock were already down to the wear lines on that wheel...
Looks like I need another spare loaded caliper...

Oh great, I just got mine installed. That is the first I have heard of trouble with these brakes. So do others carry a spare caliper????

Spare loaded caliper is a great idea - and they're cheap. I have a wheel bearing spare with bearings, races & seal. I planned to get a spindle, but I think they're welded...
Interested in your experience with the Flex-Air if it stoppes all the noise...

Put it this way , I would rather experiance this minor problem with the Disc's over staying with the Drums....
I try and carry a spare of something that could be hard to replace on the road.. Depending on the cost and size....

I bought my Redwood off the lot so there were a couple of options it did not have that I would have liked it to have.
One was a Convection Microwave, our last SOB 5th Wheel had a Convection Microwave and we really enjoyed it.
Well yesterday was the day, I removed the factory installed standard Microwave and installed a Convection Microwave.

Bruce - my disc setup is Kodiak, but I think, and Ron could tell us, that the calipers are the same as the Titan.
I've got over 15k miles on ours with zero problems. Just finished a 3000 mile trip to Canada and the brakes were one of the great things to have on both grades and people and critters running out in front of you .

Rob - what brand and model ? The one the factory uses is as you would guess, the cheapest thing available. We're seriously thinking of upgrading ours.

Thanks Vaughan, I have emailed Ron and requested a spare caliper.

Vaughn, it is a GE Profile (I am personally not a big GE Fan) but it is a nice Convection Microwave that has good online reviews.
It is exactly the same height as the standard Microwave that was installed by the factory.
Most outlets currently have it on sale for around $540 (I got it from Sears here in NJ)
It fit the opening width / height and exhaust vent alignment perfectly.
I did have to drill new mounting holes and power cord entry hole in the cabinet due to them being in a different location.
One issue I did run into was the cabinet on the left side next to the Door Hinge, not enough room for the door to open, it hit the square corner of the cabinet so I had to do some mods to the corner of the cabinet (and I am not a trim carpenter for sure ) but I did ok.
Only used it a couple of times and so far I am very happy, much better quality unit, controls are easy to use.
GE Profile
Model # PVM9179SF2SS

I learned that ALL the Kodiak and Titan stuff is interchangeable . . . So if you have an issue m it is easier to find replacement parts... The brake pads are regular automotive pads, I just picked up a spare set from NAPA... They will stay in the garage at my S&B until needed.. The spare calipers come loaded with pads

Looks good. Our 2012 36RL has the convection micro from the factory build. Don't forget to open your outside range/micro exhaust vent. You don't want a fire from all the heat and don't want the extra moisture inside either. Just be sure to resecure the thumb latches on the vent lid before traveling or it might fly off after breaking. I can reach 8' on my toes, but can't reach the vent at 9' without help. We opted for a 2 step, step stool. Would rather not scratch the full body paint with some stick or poker.

I made this from a $4 flea market fish net to open/close those tabs without a stool. 0131161434.jpg

Sunday
Sunday was first day off in a few weeks.. so solved the problem of wobbly tv mount in living room then decided to replate the older 42"TV for a new 50"4 K Ultra.
Adjusted my bedroom slide out so the top seal closes completely.

What are you guys using to keep the doors closed during travel and did you not have island clearance issues like we had?
