If you pull the safe you will find no insulation on both sides all the way to the wall.

Good question.... I don't know. Today I will have a look. I know the floor has poor insulation. I was at Home Depot looking at rigid insulation today I think I an going to pull the belly pan down a little and see what I can do in there it improve things.

When I pulled the safe I could see outside into the pin box. I picked up some spray foam to seal cracks along with insulation. Made a big difference along with the shoe boxes

Pulled into a resort in me quite az last night. Went to put the big swintech bedroom slide out and only one side would move. Had the same thing last year with the opposite motor. At the time I purchased a spare one. Replaced the motor and slide works fine.. on both motors the wiring pigtail that you plug the control cord into went directlyrics to the sober points on the printed circuit board. The 2 new ones are upgraded with a solid plug on top of the motor that a short pigtail attaches to. On Monday I will order another spare to keep on hand. When I weighed at the rally I was up to 17200 lbs. Must be all the spare parts I'm carrying

Shane,
Do you know if all the motors are the same # or is it determined by size of slide? Figured I would ask so I can also pick up a spare but if you have the # and they are the same I don't need to pull the rubber out.

You home yet?????

Steve

There are 2 different motors for the slides. A high torque 50-1 for the large slide and a lower tourque 25-1 for the small slide in slide. Have had no issue with the little one yet.
Here are the #s for the large one
Vendor# 017792
Part# 236575
We would have been home yesterday but they had the highway closed between Vail Co and Highway 15. Made it home at noon today. Glad to see you made it home safe

Shane, based on you're (and others) experience, I'm ordering a spare for my RL slide too. Do you remember approximately how much the motor you listed above was?

The one for the main slide is 250.00 and the small slide in slide is 200.00 usd
That is the price on the Lippert site. May get cheaper on ebay etc.
Well worth the investment if it quits and you need to pull in the slide to get home

I would assume there is no method to manually retract these slides?

We have the washer & dryer. Ours slide has always been dead slow - like it's binding or something. Redwood makes a metal insert kit for the outside bottom of the slide where the rollers ride (haven't put it on yet).

With my luck, the motor won't fail until it's time to pack up. Nice to have a rescue plan just in case.

You can find all the info on the Schwintek system on the Lci website. Supposedly, you can disengage the motors which will allow you (and maybe several others) to manually push the slide in for transport but you must re-engage the motors before traveling to prevent the slide from coming back out while going down the highway. I believe they have a troubleshooting guide also.

Rick is correct you have to go outside and remove a screw on the side of the motor that holds it in place and then take a flat screwdriver and pry the motor up to uncouple it .then with help you push it manually

Installed an RVLOCK

My old locks deadbolt started intermittently hanging locking us in or out. We would struggle to get it to unlock. Finally with a few "magic" words it would unlock. I installed a new RVLOCK with FOB this morning. A breeze to install and works like a charm.

Just looked those up and found them on rvupgradestore.com .
The Lci 236575 is $151.75 with free shipping. The high torque 287298 is $237.95 with free shipping. I purchased my replacement slide out brackets from them and they were great to work with. I even had to send one back, and had no issues with them refunding.

Spent the day under the trailer installing the new lippert boxes for the waste master system. I was hoping one would work for the main hose and extension but it would not. The round one that came with the trailer was wide enough in diameter but 2' to short. So I added 2 boxes. Also put on the snap pads on the Jack's. What a way to spend a day off Nnote to redwood amd Lippert the brackets are to short without adding washers. That is why the 4 new units from Tiara at the rally the brackets were already falling off. When you try to tighten them without the washers as spacers they spring out and do not seat under the lip of the box

Looks great Shane. Now we know why they were falling off. This is on my list to do. Now we are changing the washer and dryer combo unit to separate units and venting outside since Char hates it. Going to pick up the same residential fridge Vaughan installed also and change that out. Will be quite a bit of work this month and then headed south to Florida for 16 days.
