I only made the mount, i got the flag pole from Collins Flags..
It is aluminum, 2-1/2" round on the base, and telescopes. It locks with a 1/4 twist and snap bottoms.. The pole is 22' tall.

Very nice job Joe, too bad you voided your Flex Air hitch warranty in the process or at least that's what the literature with my Tri Glide said " no drilling".

Spent the first two hours of my day today replacing the hot water heater bypass valve in the convenience center. Been seeing water on the floor of the convenience center lately and decided to investigate . Found a constant drip from one of the three water connections on the back of the bypass valve. After removing the old valve discovered the main valve body was cracked where a water fitting is screwed into the valve body. Don't know if that was done from. The manufacturer or a result of several days of freezing weather last month. I was able to find exact replacement at local RV dealership. Kind of a pain replacing since there is no system for running all the water lines. They go over and under each other and some are intertwined. Had to remove half of basement wall to make it possible. Glad I keep a pex crimper and the rings on hand for emergencies.

I thought about that . .

But to be honest, If that hitch fails due to 2 holes @ 3/16" diameter, I 've got bigger issues... or should I say anyone with a Flex Air...

I know what you mean, I drilled drain holes in my TG so it would quit holding water & rusting.

Just to finish up my previous post about the island. It's finished!!!!
Also put a 110 plug on one end with the built in usb ports.

2014 36FL with a center island and quartz top. Now onto the next project.

Joe... If you can talk Char into letting me go I am on the way.... Good luck with that one!

There are 2 next projects.

Building 3 end tables this weekend for the living room. Fake draw fronts except one draw for the remotes and tops will hinge up on a strut for complete storage.

Then onto the section between the living room and kitchen that houses the controls and all that other stuff. This is all coming out and building a coffee bar to match the center island. Will have the same top and also a wine rack with storage above on the living room side. Slide outs on bottom for food storage and I just might try and sneak a tiny wine fridge in. Also going about 8-10" wider onto the steps and installing some real stairs this time with risers that accommodate draws for the dog stuff.

Steve

Well, since I don't have anything to be built... It will be even harder to talk her into it, more time to have a few coldies . . .

I am tired just reading what all your doing this weekend... My big plans revolve around DAYTONA DAY ! ! !

Steve, what did you use for electrical boxes (if any)? I've had some Leviton T5632 USB plugs here for a while but there's no room for "old work" boxes behind the Redwood duplex plugs. Might cut down some plastic ones this weekend.

Had enough room for a normal old work box on the dog door side. I have draws on the top side and just shifter them over enough to accommodate the box. A shallow box will not work for the USB plug so yes.. you will have to cut one down.

hey steve... when you decide to rip out cheap stair treads... drop the wall in the crawl space and A: ADD SOME INSULATION!!! to the exterior step frame. The inner wall of the steps protrudes into the area below the interior steps.. (HUGE heat losses), and it sweats profusely.. B: either build (out of card board..lol) a return air duct (the only one we have in our 2013 36fl) that goes directly to the furnace area.. and fill the remaining area with insulation (roxul type). It made a huge difference on heat loss. Once you get that done.. you can come here and help me with mine... apparently the wife and daughters saw your mods (kitchen).... and soooooo guess what im doing in the next month???

Once i get some time.. and get a decent camera, i will post pics of my mods..

Ps.. seriously think of dropping the under belly.... add a second vac outlet in the bath cabinet.. and spray foam the entire bottom side.. worth every penny..

I've used those orange low voltage boxes
They r real shallow
from HD and black tape around connection screws u could use friction tape also worked well

The USB plugs r nifty ,they r pretty fat
