Teaser picture

Just finished the island for the FL a few weeks ago and now we will have a coffee bar to match. Have the same matching quartz top and backsplash tile. Lower area that will cover the hot water heater will now have a door with the water filter right inside. The strange square you see on the upper part will be a TV.
The LR side has the large storage you see on the top behind the TV that will also have a pull out for a desk and lots of storage.....more to come when finished.

I've actually been keeping track of the weight. Not exact but with what I have taken out and what goes back in between the island and coffee bar I will be adding about 300 lbs. Mainly due to the stone and tile. Good thing is I don't have a generator and I don't carry hardly any water in the tank so all is still good I think.

I'm envious.

For a guy that is sitting in a lawn chair every time I check into this site you sure seem to get a lot done.

Air Lift 5000

Finish installing my new and used Air Lift 5000 (new) Air system (old off last truck) on our tow ride. She is old but still wanting to do her job just needs a little help. 1st time since I have owned her (9yrs) she actually bottomed out with the wonderful roads we have around here going 20 under the limit. Then time to install the fantastic fan for the shower, inline surge protector, Solar Panels and repair the dreaded stress crack that showed up the first trip out. Also check the frame flex to see if that might be the problem. Still can't believe what a upgrade from our 10yr old Montana she is.....

Also catching up on all the little twerks our rigs have. Many thanks to all of you that have taken the time to post your thoughts and discoveries on how to repair my problems and potential future ones.

RV-Armor--finally roof issues taken care of

We have been researching armor roof companies since we started having issues with our roof over a year ago. Finally got our RV-Armor roof installed. We are so impressed with this product and the company, we are going to move forward and start installing the product for other RVers. We have heard some owners got Redwood to pay for an RV-Armor.com roof with their warranty. We were not in that group--which is another story. Either way... we are thrilled with our new roof. We were very impressed with the customer service focus and importance of great workmanship.

Finally we are not concerned about a leak or having our roof fly off (which were both very real possibilities for us). We had put a temporary fix on the roof so we protected our roof until we could get a more permanent replacement. The installer had to replace some screws and pull off the roofing material on the front 5 feet of the roof. They came ready to replace the wood roof decking, but the repair tape had prevented any wood damage.

This has been a long stressful journey for us. It is exciting to have a great end to the story.

Shane,
Funny, the plus is... our house has wheels. You are in a perfect climate for this installation, we worked between rain and clouds (we are in Florida this month).

We are leisurely working our way to the RW Rally in July.

Yes, they are all around the country. Call 855-782-7667. You will probably talk to David or Hal. Great guys, very knowledgeable. If you move forward, use the Promo Code 17060 and it will get you a $100 savings. (Every little bit helps)

Steve,
You do great work. Is there anything still original on your RW?

Today I de winterized the Redwood in preparation for our first outing next week. While there, I took advantage of an EMPTY trailer, and some free time and took a nap in the RW.. By the way, that was unplanned
I had no idea it was going to cause such a ruckus????? Evidently they worry when I don't answer their calls after 30 minutes, go figure??

Anyway, we are all washed, pink stuff out, aired out ( sort of ).. just gotta load her up and pull out in a week ! I CANT WAIT ! !

Added a grille hose to the right side propane tank so no more trips to Walmart for the throwaway cans.

Also finished packing the basement for our new fulltime adventure ~ 4 weeks to go !!
