I do the same as the ladies & it will always need to be switched in middle of the night, but I will always have a full one.
If you want to spend the money, get the bottles for an Airstream, they have a gauge built on them.

Today after canceling a long road trip to see some friends it was time to get the Titan Disc brake conversion started. Rotors, Mounts and Calipers all done after much clean up of the previous owner or service person forced about a tube of grease into each brake drum except one. No wonder the brakes didn't work to well...... Tomorrow finish up running brake lines mount and wire the actuator bleed them out and time to go for a test drive.

Danny, we sail it away ! Actually my B.I.L. Has a roof rack and TT... it breaks down and we fit it all in his vehicle. The kids in the campground love it, and it won us a free weekend for the site decoration.. and a free weekend for the best group costume...

Good deal!
I was able to winterize the coach and our sprinklers at the same time Saturday and put everything away, but woke up Monday remembering I forget to do a short part of the line that comes from the city connect hose reel on the coach so I hope I luck out like you did!

Nice job on the Pirate Ship Ford Truck Guy!! I finished up the Titan disc brake change out and last night our new MOR/ryde SLR4000 with crossbar showed up so after three days of laying under the RW it is time to take a break. Tomorrow we are going camping for a couple of days. Nice to be ready for our long trip to Southern FL in December.
This year was a big year after getting into our rig last March. Re-insulate the front cap. Cut down the Air conditioning vents giving much more air into the coach. New solar panels set up with a MMPT controller, And ran the wiring for the display panel for the Progressive surge protector and the solar panels. changed out LED bulbs for the halogen. Added 2 fantastic fans to the Shower and the Bathroom areas. So thinking about the next big cost upgrade will be H rated tires and rims. Small items will include repairing the return ducts hopefully getting the air to run more efficiently.
Phew I am wore out...........
Now to take my class A exempt license and hopefully pick up a heavy hauler for retirement.

We're enjoying our new RW, finally. After we bypassed the water pump while connected to city water so that our fresh water tank doesn't fill to overflowing. Hopefully we can reverse the process when we're back on the road so we can use the pump. Interesting on this long trip from N Calif to OKC, we've seen a ton of Mobile Suites and Elite Suites. We've seen them on the road and in each RV Park where we've stayed. There are 6 where we are now. In the past, like Redwoods, we're lucky if we see even one. So far we've seen 2 Redwoods going the opposite direction on the freeway and one at the Oasis RV resort on Amarillo, TX.

I had the same issue with the pump. The 1st one started filling the tank, ran the pump for a while and the valve started working. Lasted for a year and then had to replace the pump as it was filling the tank again

Thankfully the bypass valve works so we can live with the problem while on this trip. When we're on the road and not connected to city water we can turn the valve back on and so far the pump works fine. When we had problems with the pump on our 2nd outing my husband looked up the pump that we have. That time the pump wouldn't pump even though we had water in the tank. It's a good brand but they offer better and lessor quality. The one in our RW is the lowest price model that they sell. Kinda strange in a high end RV. But then maybe not. Does your new pump work well? If it does, I'd appreciate info on it.

We only used pump when we first bought the Redwood and it worked like it should, we do not travel with water in the tank and do not dry camp. On another note winterized and got up on roof and caulked everything, since we will not make or annual trip to Tucson for the winter, will take Redwood to storage tomorrow.

installed slide topper DE-flappers
This is what I came up with to keep my slide topper from flapping in the wind. I used 1" solid foam board and 1/2" PVC pipe and tennis balls. We had a week of high winds and rain here on the coast. The results were good no bundling water on the topper and no flapping in the wind.

We haven't dry camped with our RW. We use our camper for that type of camping. But when we're on the road and stop at rest stops, we much prefer using our RV to public restrooms. Also an RV Park where we were staying had their well pump stop working. Without water in our RW holding tank we'd have been without. When our water pump stopped working we were without.. but that's another story.

Another Sad Day
Yup, you guessed it, I just buttoned up the RW for winter... Ran all the pink stuff... wiper all floors inside... cleaned all the stainless inside... closed it up... put the tire covers on.. All that is left is to unplug, run the extension cord up front and plug in the battery tender....
I really need to talk my wife into quitting her job and us moving SOUTH....

Glad that where we live it isn't necessary to close our RW down. We don't get that cold. At this point we're deciding if we want to go south with the RW or load up our camper and go north.

New Timken Bearings, Brake Pads, 17.5 rims with Goodyear G114 Tires. Greased the suspension also. Done yesterday evening. Couple day ago I changed the propane pigtails, no more smell when I open the compartment.

We spent this past weekend down at Richmond Raceway for NASCAR week.. We were lucky to get a spot in the new section, Turn 3 camping with Water-Sewer-50amp...
