Hey Mr. Brad and Dory and young un.. Just replaced my Thetford , had one rebuilt under extended warranty and 90 days later it sucked again. Am selling Unit as we just moved into our newly built log home at Northshores in Emory Texas. So I put in a new toilet. Piece of cake. How do I put our 2012 RW 36FB on this website classified? Hope the three of you are really doing well and HAPPY !

Hey Royce and Rachel! Hope you are doing well yourselves! So sad you are going to sell, but it sounds like your new home will be nice!

We are doing pretty darn good. Dory got her heart transplant in December and she's in rehab trying to build back some muscle after months in the hospital. Another month and we should be ready to try some more camping!

I would recommend either www.RVTrader.com and/or www.RVT.com and lots of good pictures! Both are pretty reputable. Craigslist as well, just watch out for scammers. I would stay away from any advertisers guaranteeing a sell for a huge dollar cost for the ad. I swear those guys are sitting in a Miami apartment just scamming people across the country for fun. There are a bunch of them that will starting hitting you up with the first ad you place.

Good luck!

Brad
I'm so glad to hear the news about OUR Dory doing well............you just brightened up my day. I know I'm not the only one on here who've been anxiously awaiting news of her condition. See, our group prayers and well wishes do work miracles. God bless you and your family. Happy camping soon.

Just got the Redwood back from the carpet shop. After 5 years the carpets were worn and looking shabby. Upgraded carpet and padding. Looks terrific and the chosen color is a better match to the interior colors. Original carpet was stapled down. New carpet is professionally installed with tack strips and stretched. Cost was not inexpensive but a lot of labor involved. They disaasembled the bed, dressers, etc to remove and replace. The factory installed the carpet before installing the interior.

Looks great! I need to wax ours too, but with only 36 days to us leaving our S&B home, not sure I'll have the time. Wife wants me to hire this job out. What have others paid for a full wash & wax?

There is a guy in a campground I stay at in Va that does mine for $300.00 wash and wax. The front and rear caps are hand/paste, and the sides are spray wax.

I used Paul Newmans Dazzling Detailing down in Florida last year, paid $800.00 for wash and 4 step waz and buff... it never looked so good..

It all depends on where you're at & what you're willing to pay. On average I've paid $300+ for wash/hand wax, but in Yuma a couple years ago I had it done for $125. In the future I'd pay the $125 again, but if it's $300 I'd do it myself if park would allow it (most do not allow washing of any vehicles).

Thanks for the input on wash/wax cost. I think my limit might be $300-350 right now, but that could change upward as I get more desperate before we hit the highway. One detailer I looked up online quoted a price of $13 per foot....$533 ! In SoCal, everything costs more, but on the other hand, my modest home will go for more than a half-Mil.

Shane,
I'm in the San Fernando Valley. It may be worth spending a night or two at Orangeland to have that done at that price. I know you spend a lot of time there...do you think they give you a break due to your long terms there?

Ken
It is a set price per ft. I can't remember what it is was either 220 or 250 for mine
Call Orangeland and they would be able to help

Lorenz, run your rig through a CAT scale and see what your axle weights are. There isn't any reason to run 125 psi in the 17.5" tires unless you need to.
Based on what my weights are, I would be fine at 110, I run 115 psi

Made a little fix to mine. Extended my emergency brake line. It was too short and twice when I had to make a hard right turn it got pulled out. Had to quickly get out and reconnect it. Added about 2 feet to it. Should do the trick. Now I need to wax it.
