I have my vin and was wondering if it had any significance like with the cars. trucks, etc. I've gotten in the past ?

the 1st two mean year, the next 2 mean something else, etc.. etc...

Thanks in advance !

In 2010, Redwood started production, with serial number 1400. Take the last four digits of your VIN and subtract 1400 to arrive at the number that your coach is off the production line.

Thanks Adamsvr !

So 3828 - 1400 means ours is the 2428th one they have built ?!?

or is that the 2428th 38gk they built !?!

curious what the other 13 numbers mean if my fictitious vin was "4a0bc385def003828" :

guessing the first digit is the year as mine is 4
Next is a letter represented by 'a'
next is 0
next two letters represented by 'bc'
then 38 maybe signifying the 38gk ?
next a number represented by 5
next three letters represented by 'def'
then the last 6 numbers for the serial number....

John: Those are great pics. Wow... I thought the RL was long! The GK is like an RL -only with more features. Love the lighter wood cabinets. The entertainment center is an upgrade too. Enjoy it.

I suspect you have 3 batteries since you opted for the residential fridge. I don't think that's included with the residential package as I think that package is mandatory, mine has it and didn't come with 3 batteries. I am a little bummed that I apparently just missed the LED TV, or it could be just because you have the 55" that you got it. Mine is 40" and LCD. My TV kind of stinks, takes way too long to turn on and switch channels. It's making me crazy!

BTW, nice rig. I know what you mean about long. However that's what makes them so livable on the inside.

Yes, 3 batteries for the res fridge, and the led 55 was an upgrade... it's all in the dollar signs

Congrats. I know you are going to be so excited to get it home and plan a trip! If you come down towards Austin, look us up. I would love to see how the Residential Package looks.

You didn't set up a time for your PDI before you left for Vacation?

When our GK was delivered, it only took a few days between delivery time and completion of the dealer PDI. I am thinking it was just 2 days. My Chemo brain doesn't work so well some times, but I think they received it on a Tuesday and we did our walk thru on Thursday and we left with it Thursday afternoon.

Seems like a date for you PDI could have been set before you left for vacation.

Sharon
