I usually start puckering up @ 13'6", so you are probably good to go since we are roughly 13'2"

Now - that assumes antennas are down, etc... !

I live in that area and yes you can travel that road. It is very narrow and winding with steeeep drop off and one side. My brother takes his 5th wheel towing his side by side be hind it and has had no problems. I go the other way through Telluride.

What is more Scenic Hwy 145 or Hwy 550? Going up from Durango to Grand Junction to Estes Park.

They are both very Scenic. If I am not towing I like 550. If I am towing I go up 145.

I wouldn't take a Redwood over 550 south of Ouray. I think if you aren't scared out of your wits your putting others in danger. It's too narrow. And the area that shows 13'9" is a round topped tunnel which I believe means you'll need to drive down the middle AND it's on a blind curve with a sizable dropoff on one side.

I'm currently in Durango until mid September then heading up to Fruita, I plan on taking the scenic and safer route through Cortez.

Take my advise for what it's worth, but I lived in Colorado for 10 years and have travelled some of the most dangerous roads this state has to offer. The biggest issue is the out of state drivers who are either gawking at the scenery on these roads or scared out of their wits that they are stuck on those roads.
