Generator install - gen set ready 2016 39RL

I want to confirm the wiring arrangement to the furion transfer relay switch box. I have attached pictures of my onan wires that would go back into my relay switch. Just want to make sure colors are aligned. Appreciate any help.

Thanks
Shane

The two neutrals together in the center lug, the black in one lug and the striped black in the other lug. Green to the grounding bar.

Marquis 5500 - Nice Gen! That's what we had for 13 years. Not sure Onan even carries it anymore.

The output breakers on that Onan may be a 30A/30A, or on some models like mine were a 30A/20A. If you end up popping the 20A every once in a while with ACs on, try swapping the black and black stripe (puts your 30A on the heavier loaded leg). If they are both 30A - then no issues.

Thanks a ton!!!!! This is exactly what I needed. Mine has the 30/20 setup. The gen has about 80 hours on it. We don’t use it that often and hated to buy a new one for this redwood. It has always worked like a champ. I will keep this info in case I need to adjust the poles (30 vs 20) Thanks again!!! Shane Ragland

I'll suggest something and do with it what you want. I installed this generator in 3 5th wheels, two Montanas and the Redwood. The generator sets lower in the cabinet on the Redwood than in some other 5th wheels because it is going straight down on steel plate:

On our Montana however, it sat higher. The holes in the base used for alternate exhaust routing (several) allow a lot of heat to escape into the cabinet rather than down under the 5th wheel where it should go:

I found out too late on the Montana that Onan recommends covering the unused holes with foil tape. As a result, we actually melted our cabinet door on the Montana. I don't know if it would have done that on our Redwood because of the position, but I taped them anyway as I had the starting cables running across the front down at the base and didn't necessarily want them exposed to the heat either.
