Gulf Waters RV

Ginny and I pulled into Gulf Waters RV in Port Arkansan (Mustang Ialand) and there are several Redwoods here. Is there anybody on the forum here?

Dave...you lucky dog. We were there a few years ago. We go down to Port A every time we're in SA and Austin to see our kids.

Tom,

It's a beautiful place and we're planing on looking around. The place we're at has spots for sale and when we're not here they rent them out. So far we like it. Several Redwoods and Entagras here too.

Excellent choice! And not too badly priced especially if you want to impress Ginny.

Try Inferno for lunch, open Thurs-Sun. Also Roosevelt's for dinner, probably the best restaurant on the island.

Yes it is! There are several in this area but this one seems to be the best looking. There's also a board walk to the beach.

We just came back from spring break in Port Aransas, TX. We stayed at Pioneer RV Resort, it hooks up to the beach via a walk way/buggy ramp. Pretty nice place, two pools, one hot tub, lots to do if you are wintering there. It is not the most expensive but is on the upper end. The sites are all concrete with grass and picnic tables. We will go back there next year for spring break.

Beltsander races

If you are there for a while and get bored going to the beach and shopping we fell into a place called Gaffs on Beach Ave. they have Belt Sander Races one Saturday a month, I believe. Its a bar, only pizza and beer but it was a hoot, not your standard belt sanders.

Also talking about food, if you want to have a fish boil there is a place in Rockport called the Boiling Pot. Something you won't do every day.
-Dicks is a fun place in Port Aransas, lots to see inside.
