Made it to Jersey

Well we made it through a few storms and now were sitting in the Redwood, enjoying a TALL glass of our favorite beverage listening to the pitter patter of rain on the roof. Kind of romantic listening to that sound......

But wait....the pitter patter is inside.....the roof vent in the kitchen is leaking even though it's closed. I guess tomorrow I'll have to make use of the tube of calking I always carry. Some people in life have real problems.....this aint #hit.

Life is good

Personally, I'd sue.

Well I got up on the roof and learned a few things.

#1 I've been carrying the same 2 tubes of roof sealant for a number of years. Apparently there a life span on this stuff because on the tube I opened, I could only get about 2/3 to squeeze out (and about 1/3 of that went all over my hands).

#2 I think it was the antenna wire causing the problem but we'll find out tonight with the next heavy rain. If it's not he antenna, then I would guess the a/c unit will have to be lifted and resealed. I did change the level of the coach last night in the pouring rain and that stopped the leak (that little cap is calked now).

#3 I was wrong in what I had posted on another thread. My vents DO HIT THE VENT COVERS although it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Caulking problems are a little different that problems I stated, wouldn't you think? Personal dig at me noted.

Jerry...you are correct. My comment was unecessary and inappropriate. I apologize. This place is full of folks more than willing to offer insight and help on a whole range of stuff. So, hang around if you want. This Forum is an eclectic bunch. Look, they allow me to stay.

Jerry, thanks for hanging in there...

there is too much upward pressure if someone with a legitimate complaint post here, but go to other sites and it's the other way completely

I've not shared all my 20 or so issues other than just hint at them,
but wished others had when I was researching,
would have saved us a lot of grief...
HOPEFULLY,
On Tuesday I'll find out if we've found someone in the dfw area that will help, as ExploreUSA did not nor Redwood/Crossroads/Thor...

Everyone says to pick a good dealer, but just like campgroundreviews.com , until everyone post their reviews, you can't know about a park... and even then, unless you know the 'standards' of the poster, one man's treasure park, is another man's trashy place

John, It's been clear from your hints that you have/had several issues with your coach. I appreciate that you remain positive and helpful on this forum even though you struggle with own RW. That makes this forum so great.

Good luck with your tech.

D&G were staying near Great Adventure. Cindy and I had the oppprtunity to meet them yesterday for a couple of ice teas. Great folks and conversation with them came easily. They're on their way up to Maine right now to enjoy some lobsta'.
