Solution to Black Flush overflow

Because usually it goes like this:

1. Close black valve.
2. Turn on tank flush.
3. Someone walks up and says, "How do you like your Redwood?"
4. Profanity

It's a high tech solution, but everyone here can handle it:
"OK Google, set a timer for 10 minutes."

This was discovered through trial and error

That angle iron was like a sharp knife.
Fortunately the RW is still usable til winter, then off to the body shop.

Danny,

Sorry to hear about that. Hope it isn't too expensive to have repaired.

We have all done stuff cause dumb stuff just seems to happen. I double, triple check virtually everything I am doing any more. Last year when I pulled the RW out of my barn, I didn't get out that one last time to check the left rear corner before pulling out and turning right. I thought it was clear of the overhead door frame by looking in the mirror..........2 more inches and it would have been. I snagged the the end cap on my slide topper and ripped it completely off. Fortunately, it was a relatively easy repair, but, it would have never happened if I had checked that one last time.

Good luck
Guy

Why does it seem to make me feel better when I read others doing the same "less intelligent" things? This is one of the best threads in a long time.

Steve, next time you back up assuming you're drivers side backing, turn your steering wheel gently to start RV moving in which direction you want, as soon as RV starts moving hold steering and watch wheels on drivers side track into space, you will be surprised how much travel you get out of a little turn, and if you need more just an inch or so is usually all it takes to move in right direction.
Try between a couple cones in a parking lot, its really easy once you stop over steering and then over correcting.
Brother I did the same thing when I started driving big rigs, and my brother in law who is a natural taught me not to fight the wheel, and the shorter the unit the quicker it turns.

Sure not my week & hope the wives tale of things happening in 3s isn't true. Lost the fabric on the kitchen slide topper today, the stitching threads had all deteriorated leaving the piping behind.

I certainly don't have anything dramatic to share, but now I do know to depressurize the water system before pulling the anode rod out of the water heater. About lost both the boys....just sayin...
