Pig Trail Scenic Byway in Arkansas

My wife and I will be traveling through Arkansas in October to visit the Pea Ridge National Battlefield. We will be coming from Memphis and staying in Eureka Springs. I see that there is a scenic byway call the Pig Trail that connects I40 to US62. Has anyone driven that with their Redwood and is it suitable to pull the rig through? Thanks in advance

Perhaps SLOWLY, unless it has changed, and I doubt it seriously. I remember a sign at some point that read, "This road crooked and steep next (X number) of miles. My thought was, Whoa! What the hell has it been so far? I've been on it in a car a few times a few years ago and rode it many times on a motorcycle while in grad school, but I was much younger and crazier then. The Ozarks are beautiful. Take your time on any of the roads up there, keep your eyes on the road and let your wife enjoy the scenery.

Maybe a bad idea, but maybe not. I can tell you it is a beautiful run and it isn't very long. No one will be going very fast. I have taken my 25' Airstream on Hwy 9, between Shirley, Ar and Mountain View, and most of it is no wider and quite curvy. I don't think you will be staring at your own tail lights more than two or three times. Have fun in the Ozarks, wherever you travel.

Excellent idea, Johnboytoo. Most of my Pig Trail experience was pre Internet, when we just went wherever and, sometimes suffered the consequences. That's why I tell folks, "Don't follow me. I've made a life of leading people astray."
