Can work, make sure you have stand alone 15 A plug. See if plug is wired with 12AWG WIRE. Go get some dielectric grease and coat plug ends (good for trailer 7 way also). This will only handle the convertor, fridge, and some lights. Suggest putting table lamp in site of house to insure 120 current is working. And leave radio on to deter mice, they love a quite, warm trailer.

Actually the heater blower works off the 12 v system. 115v is all that is needed to keep the inverter and batteries charged. I park it at my house when not on the road.

BATON ROUGE! YOU'RE CHEATIN
My thermostat goes down to 33 degrees, heat tapes and well house thermostats do not kick on till around 38. There is usually a 10 degree difference from inside to outside on a cloudy/windy day and about 15 degree on sunny day. We live in west Tennessee, we can go from tropic to artic in 24 hours. Spent a lot of time with lazer thermometer stressin over temps trying to keep equipment and rv from damage. That being said, I usually dont worry untill temps fall below 20 degrees shortterm (4-6 hours).

The campers put away, now to get my truck bed back. I pulled into my shop there's a steel bar under the chuck head attached to the base. Wrapped a choker belt to it. Pulled the pins opened the bars and lifted it out with the fork lift in about 5 minutes no tools, tools gotta love that.
Now to put the cap back on and the gun safe back in for the winter.

Foxfire ~ go onto Amazon.com Can't remember where I got it, but there is a 50a to 15a adapter. Saves lugging out the big heavy cord. One of the better investments I've made and use it all the time when coach is at house.

Re, the adapters,
had an old 30 amp extension from older TT's and so I got a couple of combo's so I could work in all conditions:
a 50 amp to 30 amp dogbone,
a 50 amp 50 ft extension,
and a 30 to 15 amp dogbone,
so if I can figure out all the connections we can plug in
And, just to check the setting on the heater to keep the rv from freezing at the storage lot over the next few days I got one of these from walmart for $< $10...
http://www.klockit.com/products/sku-...l?parent=16681
put the remote unit on the floor of the basement under the open water filter access door and the low temp there was within one degree of the interior over the last few days... set it @ 43 and it was a low of 42 minimum .... probably can set lower to save propane, but that will work...
so I guess the under floor heating is doing well ...
now us Texans can sleep well when it gets way down in the high 20's

I'm thinking I'll need a generator to power up the inverter to charge the batteries in the spring. The 50 to 15 looks perfect. Thank you

The converter should work fine off 15a to charge the batteries. I do it all the time when I bring the coach to the house from the lot.

If hyou don't want to run the convertor, invest in a $30 trickle charger and shut power off to coach. DO NOT LET BATTERYS DISCHARGE till spring!! It can damage the plates, and loss of charge will let electrolyte freeze causing death of battery.

I'm storing in a storage field. There's no power there. If I have to I'll just buy new batteries in the spring as there's no way to keep it powered during the layup. Even if stored by the dealer they don't offer any way to power over the layup period. Given the cost to store vs the cost to bring it someplace to store and power during layup, two batteries would be a cheap answer.

Ok, I missed that. Take batterys off and trickle at home, or put on regular charger monthly, buying new battery's realy sucks, unless you have the generic black box that came from the factory. Then that would be a good excuse for new battery's!

Question? Do you leave the battery switch on when leaving hooked up 110. Saw a 50 to 110 dog bone on line. Between that and a good extension cord the unit should stay charged all winter.

Every time we put ours in storage we have to jump the battery to charge it. What else can we do? Ideas appreciated! We have snow here in Indiana. I am hoping for clear roads when we get ready to move South after our 7th grand child, but first for our middle son is born.

YES, the switch usually disconnects coach from battery.
