Stink Bugs
Errrr!!! we have been fighting the stick bugs here in Oregon. We have been finding 4-8 per day in the RV. Guess everyone in the park we are at has been finding them. Was thinking of Bombing trailer but I hear that does not work on them. Anyone else had stink bug issue? How did you get rid of them? Or do I have to live with it after all it is called camping.

They are tough to get rid of...we encountered them while in Branson MO and have been finding them since. We don't see them very often but just when you think we're FINALLY rid of them...dang, another one!!

We've been fighting them on the east coast for a couple years now. Not a lot you do about them. Just don't put them down the toilet, you will know why. They come and go. Get a bugzooka and keep it handy.

are you talking about the stink bugs that are the size of a house fly.
In CA we have these little knats that love the toilet, shower, etc they are the size of a pin head

They are about 1/2" long and only stink when squashed, but then the stink is strong and bad. Fortunately, they don't bite, sting, or get into food.
They're just nasty looking and nasty smelling.

I believe the stink bug is the one that you can kill with "dawn" dish soap. If they are squirted with a bug sprayer of concentrated dawn dish soap, they suffocate.
If this doesn't work.......a single shot to the head with a 9mm might be effective.......

Yep..... we have those nasty Stinkbugs AND Asian lady bugs here in Central Virginia. Real PITA when they "come out" and when they get into the 5er can be a nuisance. I usually just vacuum them up but although the lady bugs are harmless they can & do on occasion leave marks on the walls, ceiling, etc. that can be wiped off. I'm dreading them with my new 39MB arriving in about 6weeks Some seasons I won't see any and other seasons........ These aren't your "grandfathers" ladybugs either........(Asian). As far as the "Stinkbugs"........simply touch em & your fingers STINK !

Ive heard that spraying Malathion made by Ortho works as a barrier. 1 to 5 in a bug sprayer. Use full strength for solicitors.

We have the stink bug problem real bad in Virginia. I have put a tulip lamp, four or five bulbs, in our attic to kill stink bugs. They fly to the heat and light and get trapped and die. No smell. I just empty it once a week or every month when there are fewer bugs. You might try this in the camper when you are not using it or even at night putting the tulip lamb in the living space.

I'm not at home now so I cannot get a picture. Tulip lamp was purchased from Target it's a floor lamp that has about five tulips on it each tulip has a bulb inside they are about 6 inches long with a diameter of about 4 inches each one on a separate support you just bend the flexible metal support until the open tulip is facing up and the stink bugs fly into the open plastic tulip and the heat of the bulb kill them. Hope this helps.
