Camp Hatteras, NC. After getting blasted by rain and wind this morning, sun came out and ended up being a great day. Saw another RW, red and black, across the park on the ocean side. We have a quiet spot on the sound side. Hopefully storms will stay away...

Be sure @ Seabreeze to get one of the pull-thrus across from pool/laundry as all the others across creek are very tight for our RWs. Stayed there June 2013 & had to have them trim trees in order to get in, scheduled a month, but left in 2 weeks. Try Midway RV Resort in Sinton , no frills, but he has very large pads (16 x 65) & only 10 spots, but very nice guy.

We've been in Rockport, TX for the last week. When we got to our spot at Bayview RV Resort we found ourselves beside another Redwood. Made two new friends right away. We leave tomorrow for Austin, TX for a week, then we'll head west. Safe travels everyone.

Steve - it was amazing as we crossed into California. Approaching the summit around Weed the temperature was right at freezing and then dipped down to 30 F. However, once we got over the summit, within 1/2 hr it was a balmy 70F at 1730.

Gotta luv blue sky and warm temperatures.

Hi All. We have been full timing since September 1st. Our first weekend included a three day tailgate for a Green Bay Packer home game. Then it was time to say good by to GB. Spend two weeks in Minneapolis visiting newest grandson, two weeks outside of Chicago visiting our eldest daughter and her husband, then onto Wilmington, NC for three months visiting our oldest grandson. Helped our son with his new home, painted, installed new hardwood etc. Then a week sightseeing in Charleston, SC and Savanah GA. Now in Dade City Florida for a two week Habitat for Humanity RV Carabanner build. Then south to Lake Okeechobee for a month before we make our way back north. Will be work kamping in Minneapolis for the season. Retirement and full timing have been good so far.

Headed to Eustis, FL on Saturday morning to take the RV Inspector and maintenance course from Terry Cooper the RV Professor. Only south for a week but it will be great to get away from this really cold weather. Last night was 3 degrees and windy. Looks like Saturday morning at about 0530 when we leave it will be 6 degrees. Dave assures me the RW and the Dually don't mind snow at all ".........

If anyone sees a Black/tan RW being towed by a Dark Kodiak Brown/Tan Ford Dually on 95, that's us. Smile and wave !!

Vaughan - don't want to rub it in, but should mention it was a very comfortable 80 degrees in Indio yesterday. It's only 0830, but it looks to be a repeat of yesterday.

Vaughn,

We have been in northwest Florida panhandle since January 1. Enjoying temperatures from 20's to mid 60's. Much better than northern Indiana these past 4 weeks.

Are you going to try to run your furnace while traveling? I tried to do that while in transit to Florida and the furnace did not seem to work well while traveling.

Safe travels to Florida and say hello to the Coopers.

Guy
