Campsite

Thought I would scout out a local spot for Mothers Day - It just doesn't look as fun now as it does in the summer

The DW got out and saw that the front fenders on the dually were covered in road slush, and she said "good thing we landed, we were taking ice on the wings"

That looks like a place we stayed in Franklin, just outside of Colorado Springs.

By chance do you guys ever go to Dakota Ridge here in Golden? We have taken the Redwood there for the past three outings as it's right in town and near Camping World a must for those last minute items. Perhaps we should have a mini rally there sometime. Always looking to get the unit out and just hangout.

I haven't tried that, but I should. I've seen it driving by, but never took the time to find the entrance.

Always in for a CO mini rally. I think there are enough CO redwoods to fill a small campground. Usually 2 or 3 each time we go to Chatfield.

I think we are going to camp at Chatfield for our first week or two in our new RW at the end of May. It is close to everything we might need to get settled in and the fishing is not too bad, either! Do you know if it fills up this early?

It fills up for Mothers Day, then slows down a little until Memorial Day. It is the weekends that will get reserved and might mess you up for a 2-week stay. I would make reservations now. The full hookups fill first. Loop D is perfect, Loop A is good, but the low trees in there give me fits with this tall rig. I've backed down the loop before because I can't drive under a tree.
