Enjoying the cool fall in the Midwest

Between business and family issues we haven't had much of a chance to enjoy camping this fall. Today we left the office early and fired up the bus. Boy does it feel nice to sit in the cool evening around a fire.

We've already decided to only work 4 more years but after the stress we've had this year we might speed up that date.

I'm with you there - I debate on 3 more years, 7 more, or just go now.

Fall is one of my favorite, but I have to admit that I start to get lonely when all the summer crowds leave. I'm not sure I could ever be a full timer.

We have been enjoying the cool fall weather here in east central KS (Clinton State Park) and will winterize the RW and return to storage for a few months. It has been a great RV'ing year for us. Got in about 12 weeks this year.

I gave up working in 07 because of my hearing. I had about 60 hours more than needed for my pension. This has been the best job I've ever had. I miss nothing about working.

It's always a guess and balancing game. How long will we stay healthy and is it worth the effort to work a few more years. In our case we've had a pretty good run with business but it gets tuffer all the time. Thankfully we've over come some health issues and although Ginny has been the holdout she now is ready to walk out the door.

For now a weekend like this has recharged our batteries and reminds us how much we love our coach. We're very fortunate to gave each other and our health.

Decided to retire at 60 seen tooo many friends start having problems and then have a hard time "enjoying" the best ??? in life.
Figured we would travel and see as much as we can between 60 and 70 and then at that time(70) see how we feel and what we can/could do. For us Canadians medical insurance to travel to the US takes a big jump after 70, we may have to look at other countries.
If you can don't wait. For us it was a decision to just spend less to go early.
Life is all about choices, enjoy while you can

I'm with you there, and we're off to a bad start healthwise already.
