Turn the bike/trailer 'sideways' - that's the research for my golf cart trailer...

I have a nice 12 foot enclosed trailer that has all the options. I really wish I could use it. I have read many posts of people towing out of limits and never getting stopped. But I would always worry I would be the one, or get into a finder bender and then be identified over the limits.

John,
I have seen some "sideways trailers " on line, but most of them have a very heavy hitch weight. I believe the RW's have a 300 pound hitch limit.

I just bought a 6 x 10 sa no brakes from vnosetrailers.com I needed the roof and the door a foot higher to bring in the golf cart. They did a great job and were the cheapest around. I wound up with a diamond cargo trailer as they said mine was easier to buy than make. I'm now using it at my shop for short runs but that wasn't its intended purpose.

True, but I'm talking about a regular trailer just short front to back and it loads from the side so your toy rides 'sideways' ... these guys quoted me a reasonable price for a 8 wide x 5 long trailer so the overall length was just 7 foot or so with hitch etc... and could have done 4' with the right cart....
the cart was longer than the 8' if you take overall length, but the wheelbase fit nicely....and 8'6" is a legal width so would have worked out if we had done it...

basically they just turned the bed 90 degrees on the axle/frame rails/hitch !

Merry Christmas all from Sonoma County wine country in Northern California. Getting the rig ready for our annual trip to Quartzsite and the circling of the Montana's. This is the 10th anniversary of a rally that started with just 5 rigs.

There will be 2 Redwoods this year! Think it might grow to the 70 or more like the Montana's??

I am trying to get gmc to put a standard box on a new dually factory order. This will gain me an extra 18". I may end up buying cab and chassis and have box installed after. This would get you the extra Ft you need

Dan & Connie - We did that 2 years ago (took delivery December 2012) with our 2013 RW. It was hard to wait until June but luckily we have it on our property so we were able to go out and sit in it, put things away and dream of that first outing!! Good Luck with your new RW and wishing you many happy memories in it during 2015!
