Thank you!

We're home tonight after spend some wonderful time at the 3rd annual Redwood Rally.

Redwood did a fantastic job and answered all questions. The chatter around the fire was very positive after meeting the Redwood management.

Ginny and I once again met and enjoyed some new friends. As we drove home we really hated to leave and it's partly because of these friendships, we've reconsidered the change to a diesel pusher. We can't bring ourselves to leave so many good friends. I need Ginny comfortable so we've decided to look seriously into a Freightliner (medium duty) and keep the Redwood. This should give Ginny a better ride.

Mary and I were very glad to have met you at our first rally and have enjoyed it immensely.....The quantity and quality of information presented was unbelievable by Redwood and their reps, but as you say the chat around the meal tables and campfires was priceless. I can't say enough about the quality one can take away from the rally because of the interaction of the Redwood experience that attends these functions. What a great time we had!!!

Dave & Ginny,

It was great to meet you two in person and we were happy to hear you might consider staying around given a better ride for Ginny. Still need to show Ginny my mobile office.

Looking forward to the next camp fire chat.

Cheers,
Ken & Gizzi

Glad to hear that, although I almost had your Redwood sold. Would rather have you keep it and stay active in the forum, you've been a big help to many of us.

For the difference in $$ from the MHs you were looking you could get the MDT, New RW & have enough leftover to take them both coast to coast with a little change left.

That's very true! We toured 2 motor home plants and although they are nice....we question if they fit us. Besides we have expensive taste and we're not sure we'd fit in with our fellow motor home people.

I've noticed while reading rv park reviews that probably 90% of the negative reviews all came from someone in a MH, just seems maybe they are hard to please. Just glad you decided to hang with us.

Thanks Danny. That was part of our decision. Although I've met some very nice folks in motor homes, we believe our personalities fit well with the Redwood folks.

We had a blast! Apologies again to anyone we disturbed with our late night fireside chat, but it was a hoot. As Dave and I discussed, Redwoodites are a unique bunch - warm, friendly, fun to be with. We made great new friends (inc Jim & Ken), got to finally meet Oriana, and loved catching up with the old crew. We too are setting aside MH thoughts and giving serious consideration to the new 39MB.

And planning that Alaskan Redwood caravan in 2016!

Dave, Sam and I are sorry that we missed you and Ginny at the Rally, next year for sure unless you decide to return to FL when we are there then we can get together. Have you considered a "toter home" that provides comfort and allows towing of your Redwood?

That Alaskan caravan sounds like a great idea. I have done some preliminary planning regarding a trip of that magnitude from our home base in FL and the fuel estimates (round trip) are approximately $6800 (based on 8 miles to the gallon), conservative estimate at best. We have a friend that is returning from a trip to Alaska and she is going to provide cost estimates to me which I will share with the group.

I talked with a guy with a Bluebird/Wanderlodge that said he could go from New Orleans to Alaska on 3 tanks of fuel, I said "only 3" & he said "yea it holds 300 gals.", $1200, $75 at time on your card??
