What is the partition type divider in the pictures ? Can you use it with the hitch in place and the RW hooked up ?

Vaughan,

That is the Ford OEM bed extender option, turned towards the inside. I was hoping I could keep it with the cover, and looks like I can. I brought it over from my 2008. It folds and stores at the sides out of the way.

I do tow with it in that position, and put two 64 quart coolers between it and the tailgate and it keeps the coolers out of the way of that moving triglide.

The other bar in there I got for Christmas too - a better quality load locker than I had before.

Thanks on the garage - it was sure a dingy place when we bought it.

I'm a hard guy to buy for as I usually buy the things I want and need. By the time someone figures out what I wanted it was delivered by UPS. But the house was filled with presents nonetheless, everyone gets underwear. Shirts, shorts, socks, gloves, hats etc etc. You never know when but you always need clean underwear, usually enough to outfit the house, the RW, and maybe a small army. Plus the usual sweaters, after shave, jeans, always a new knife, and some computer gizmo that will take until next christmas to figure out how to use it.
Merry Christmas.

Santa didn't bring that, you, you, great big story teller!
Because he installed before Christmas!

He also visited our house early - New electronics for the house, new rings for the wife, and rv'ing with my family over Christmas is the best present so far !!!

Just saw two deer go across the lake edge - Beaux the wonder dog was worried about those big 'dogs' !

Brad - you'll love the Roll n Lock. I thought about it before spending that much but have to say that now after a year and a half if I bought another truck it and the tailgate step would be the first boxes checked on the order sheet.

When I tow, I pull it closed one notch and it keeps the three Rubbermaid tubs full of stuff secure and out of the way and relatively dry even in a driving rain.

One thing - with the cover, you can no longer see the hitch when backing in. I took the center headrest off for better view and the side benefit of that is that if you look in the mirror you can see the two mounting hole plates for the headrest on the seat. Back in and center the pin on the RW between the hole plates on the seat and you'll have a perfect hook up. Just stop a couple feet out and set the height on the coach.

HTH. And a wonderful Holiday Season to all of you. May we cross paths and share a fire in the next year.

I wish he would have installed it for me John! It was my Christmas day project. RVing with family would have been a great option I wish I had!

Vaughan, thanks for the tips. (I remember you said you had no issues with your roll-n-lock, which helped me decide) I've been removing that center headrest as it is huge! I don't think my 2008 even had headrests, or at least not in the middle. When looking in from outside, it's all headrests, not sure why they bothered with a window

This bed extender just bolts into that hole near the rear tailgate and they pivot out and lock together. I almost sold mine, then started to like them.

When folded up, they are out of the way and haven't really bothered me other than I have to open one side to access the trailer plug.

I kind of wish I had got some underwear Birthday is February........

Hey Char, take some pics of those flaps when you are done and let us know how happy Steve was with the install.

I bought the OEM rear flaps for mine, but they are truly too short. I will probably change them to what you got if it works out.

They seam to be a very good length and end up about 7" inches above the ground if I had to guess. I didn't measure but I can if you would like.
Front ones are perfect and will stop the splash up the sides.
Installed in about 45 minutes and that was a bit longer since 2 of the factory clips were giving me a hard time. I was able to install without taking any tires off.
Yup... I like my underwear also

Steve
