upgrade rims/tires
2012 36RL looking to upgrade E tires to G. My question is; Will the rims from a 2015 with G tires, fit a 2012 36RL? Serious about upgrading SOON.

Hi, Ron, I am also upgrading my 2016 Sequoia 38 SRQ to higher load rated tires. What is the reason that 17.5 inch wheels are desirable, other than the H rated tires? I don’t want to raise the trailer any higher than it is, so was planning on using G rated tires on new 16 inch rims. Any advice on Westlake ST tires? Also, the H rated tires I have seen are speed rated T J which is 62 mph. I don’t race down the road, but I do often go at 65 or so depending on traffic.

I'm not Ron, but the tires should be nearly the same height. The 17.5s have shorter side walls. I have the Goodyear Gs on 16" wheels and am happy with them. They are LT tires and I believe rated to 75mph.

Hi, Mark, thanks for the clarification. I found the G114 online and it is rated at 75 mph and the diameter of the tire is essentially the same as the E load Westlakes I am replacing. So, lots I don’t know about the Mor Ryde IS, one thing is: do you have a choice of Disc Brakes, or are they provided as part of the Mor Ryde package? Are the lugs provided 1/2 or 9/16? Does the Ford factory brake controller work well with the disc brakes?

Mor/ryde can do IS and Disc Brakes as a package or either one by it's self.
Lug nuts may depend on the system size you use, I.E., 7K or 8K, most go for the 8K with these RWs. The 8K gives you 9/16 studs.
As for your controller, you'll have to get the answer for the Ford guys, this Gal is a Chevy type of Gal.

Ken
We had Ron's crew install the disc brakes at our site in AZ in 2015 and then the IS last summer prior to the rally. They work seamlessly with our 2015 F350 dually. Just had to select "electric over hydraulic" on the truck menu.
