Yes - bottom line is I want one but can't afford a second mortgage at the moment.
Any idea if power stayed the same or did Ford one-up everyone again ?

The report I read stated that ALL ratings will be above the models they are replacing... BUT they did not say how HIGH ??
quote -
The new Super Dutys offer three engine choices: one diesel and two gasoline, although only chassis cab models will have the V-10 option. The base-level engine is the 6.2-liter V-8, followed by the bigger 6.8-liter V-10, with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel finishing out the lineup. All transmissions are the same in-house-designed 6R140 TorqShift except for F-250s with the V-8 engine; they will get the all-new six-speed TorqShift-G transmission that is reported to deliver significant fuel economy improvements for the three-quarter-ton pickup.
We're told towing and payload ratings will be higher than previous the Super Dutys in every category; more details are forthcoming.

MORE-
Blind spot warning is now available as is a tire pressure monitor, and when the Super Duty is hooked up to a trailer special software allows the blind spot warning system to incorporate the sides of the trailer as well, alerting drivers to vehicles in the trailer's blind spot.

MORE-
You can get up to seven cameras on the new Super Duty — one forward looking (used for lane departure warning and automatic high beams) at the top of the windshield, one in the front grille and one on each side mirror (used for the 360-degree surround view feature), one on the tailgate for backing up, one in the third brake light at the top of the rear window for easier trailer hookup and a new class-exclusive remote camera that can be placed on the back of a trailer. This remote trailer camera comes with a super-long cable that plugs into the trailer brake connection at the hitch and activates when the truck is shifted into Reverse, allowing the driver to see what's behind the trailer (or, ostensibly, anywhere the driver decides to place that camera).

It's hard to improve on perfection, but I think they did it!

Good looking truck after being grossed out with that Toyota looking F150 The front was updated nicely. Not sure why they felt they needed to notch the mirrors taking away good view space, but oh well. I like my trucks interior but it is getting dated - the new interior looks very up to date. I like that they moved the uplifter switches to the ceiling deck where they don't get switched on by the water bottles in the console.

Of course in the continuing race between brands that makes you just love America, everything is better - the ride, the towing capacity, the fuel mileage -

Good job Ford!

My lovely daughter in her full GMC wisdom pointed out to me a few minutes ago that although the towing capacity is higher, there is a consequence for going over that capacity

I like the look of the new F450 but I bet I wont like the price. Thinking my 2008 will last at least a few more years. I like new but I like paid for much better.

All I can say is sales must be on fire too, the line runs 20 hours a day building just shy of 1700 trucks in that 20 hour period. This February Ford is adding a 3 shift all 3 shifts will be running 11 hours to finish the 2016s and start the 17s. The shifts will run like this,
A crew Mon-Thurs 6:00 AM -5:30 PM
B crew Tues-Fri 6:00 PM - 5:30 AM
C crew Fri-sat 6:00 AM -5:30 PM Sun-Mon 6:00 PM - 5:30 AM

I guess Ford is planning on selling some trucks.

Brad,
Your interior is feeling dated? Didn't you just get that truck? Sounds like you're starting the justification for trading up. The next step will be "maybe I'll just stop into the dealer & look one over." That's how I always end up surprising my wife. After I talk myself into a frenzy for days or weeks, it's in the driveway before I can sometimes tell what happened. Then I tell her "I gave it a lot of thought and it was the only logical thing to do". Ha ha.

I noticed they finally put on rear dually fenders that don't look like they were an afterthought! I thought their new ones would look like a Nissan like the new full size vans.

hahaha! No not me, I'm good with this truck. I haven't even got it's second oil change yet

I was reading a consumer test and review of the big three - and that was one of their comments. Although the Ford was the beast of the three, they said the interior was looking a little clunky and dated so I guess I started looking at mine that way as it has been around a while.
