I put ours on the rack on the back of the Dually all the time.
Too high to lift up into bed and then when you do there's that dumb looking thing right in the middle that gets in the way .....

Do get some strange looks at times though.

No extra strapping, we have Trek bikes so are light. Loading the bikes used to be a pain, but not now, 5 minutes.
