if I was planning on keeping this one I would have gotten the Mor Ryde. I am probably going to order a new MB in the next couple years. I had the Travelaire on mine and upgraded to the Centerpoint to give a little more cushion to the house. The travleaire worked very well with the rubber damper system.THE Centerpoint cost 1300.00 compared to 3000.00. Everyone I know that has it swears by it. When we take off in July I will let you know what I think of it

Shane, not talking about the Moryde IS, the SRE 4000 is a Moryde's Rubberized version of the center suspension using the current springs and axles.
Cost is about $400.

The Trail Air Rubber unit I have on our Redwood is a pretty cheesy, basic unit, nothing like the Moryde SRE 4000.
I installed the MorRyde SRE 4000 on our last SOB 5th Wheel, it smoothed it out a lot.
Our last SOB 5er came with a MorRyde CRE 3000 basic unit which I would compare to the Trail Air unit Redwood installed our unit.

I when I picked up the trailer it was a 200 mile trip home. I have the roto flex rubber pin box and had the trailaire linckage. The coach pulled like a dream. I left my coffee cup on the island and it was still there with half a cup of coffee in it. My previous 5vers had the old steel p inbox and no suspension except for the leaf springs what a difference no chucking and banging coming from the hitch
I was pleasantly suprised. I will let you know if this new setup makes much difference. It is hilarious reading all the post from these so called experts that are pulling a big trailer for the first time. I have been hauling trailers for 50 some years so there is a not a lot I have not experienced.

So far I am not a big fan of the Trail Air Pin Box, just cannot get a good ride out of it no matter how I set the air pressure, our previous SOB 5th Wheel pulled much better than our Redwood.
I think one of the biggest problems with our Redwood Floorplan, is not enough Pin Weight, (we only have about 3000 lbs.) our previous SOB 5er had about 3,800 lbs. Pin Weight and pulled much better.

Shane, I hope you opted for the Mor Ryde heavy shackles & wet bolts while everything was torn apart, I can now grease every zerk with ease & got rid of all the plastic bushings. I highly recommend this upgrade to everyone!!

Ive been following this thread closely and wanting to ask about a good pin weight for the 39MB which we have. With the fresh water tank behind the rear axles that option is out. I really don't want my wife to buy anymore shoes, the closet is full. So is the key to carry water in the black tanks? Buy the generator option? That would actually be cheaper than adding more shoes. What would be the options to add pin weight?

Danny the Centerpoint kit comes with 12 bronze bushings and wet bolts

Did have the "spring adjustment" mentioned in a previous post? Were you able to use the existing shackles or do they supply longer/shorter ones? I'm very interested to find out if you notice any improvement while traveling.

The kit comes with everything new adjustable shackles . Because the original spring hanger assembly varies depending upon what you have

i gaurantee it will cushion the ride of the trailer. We have had air bags on the semi trailers for years and they made a noticable difference to the load they are carrying. Anything to help the dishes stay in the cupboard. and at a reasonable price
