Ahhh, but I wasn't the one that brought politics into the thread, I just pointed out the hypocrisy, and the truth. Someone else brought up the bailout money. As pointed out in the link, only Ford owed loan money, at the time of the article.

Great. That was my point all along. A couple here are allowed to "cut" some of the other's trucks, over their political views, and then, when they are called on it, the thread goes downhill. Why don't we just leave politics out of this forum, and like I said, chat about the good/bad mechanics of each truck, and RVs.

Is it a 4x4? If it is, I'm sure you'll be ok. My truck is a DRW 4x4, and it's a monster in the snow. It almost never slips a tire. I tried it out on a road last winter, with about 5 inches of snow on it, and ran 65mph for miles. That was at 4am, and no traffic, btw.

Yes it's 4x4..I'm on th road by 6:30 and most of the time no plows have come through. The few hills I have are huge. I know I can down shift I just haven't had this big of a monster to drive and I'll admit it I'm a bit nervous.. I'll deny that if my husbands asks lol!!

You will find, if it's about the same as my 4x4 Dually, that snow is no problem. I felt almost as safe running 65mph on that snow, as a dry road. I live in hill country, and every road runs the compass just to get N,S,E, or W. Hills, curves every 1/2 mile.

That makes me feel a bit better, I had an H3 Alpha Hummer that was insane in the snow and my Range rover was also incredible that would go through anything but it was way smaller
Thanks Jerry

Jerry, its only political when you make it political - to me its a fun jab and I will continue to do it whenever I please until the Moderator kicks me off! You want to Moderate - be my guest!

GM wears the bailout badge just like ford wears the Firestone badge - and not sure what any of that has to do with your Fiat, er, dodge, or whatever it is. Quit being so sensitive!

Agree in the snow the dually will work,
but IF it's icy, there is less 'comfort' in driving anything

Really? The last one I sat in had that smell, but admittedly, it was probably an 08 or older model. I loved that saddle smell.

We just had a good snow last week and I fired up the dually to see how it did.

Pathetic I left it in 2WD and it wouldn't go up my street. The anti-sway would kick on and actually help quite a bit, but until it was in 4X4 it wasn't going to get to the driveway.

Be careful with these things - I don't know if its the surface on the rear tires or what, but DRW like to skate.

I have a 14 F 150 King Ranch, it has the pressed leather, but still has the saddle leather smell.
That old saddle leather was indestructible! You could use brake cleaner to get grease stains off and when dry, would not see any signs.

Yup when you distribute the (empty) weight over 4 tires verse 2 you lose significant traction. depending what tires you have you could have the same problem in the rain

I put approx 500 lbs in sacrete bags in the bed by the tailgate, have never had a problem in the snow. Having 4x4 also makes a nice difference.

When I put my dually in 4 wheel drive, it's unstoppable. In our neck of the woods we get a lot of wet snow and it does great.
