You may want to also look at your hitches rail mounts and pins that mount the hitch to the truck. As these are not a very tight fit to begin with. And over time will wear in a little bit. A lot of pressure on these little tabs. This could be some of the popping sound that you get when you take off and stop. When I first heard it I thought that I was not hooked and going to drop the coach. Everything was perfect and tight then noticed the paint on the rail tabs gone. So I figured the hitch has slight movement in the rail them selves. On our new truck I don’t here it as the hitch is bolted directly to the frame now.
