It's not far from me

I looked at them on line ... too far from Vermont and too expensive!!!
I went the poor man's route with a Westerner body from Knapheide. It's being upfitted with the hitch this week!

Alan...I've always wanted to price shop those two builds. Is WH really that much more? Depending on the bells and whistles you get, those truck bodies are a sweet upgrade. I looked at a few up in Middlebury last month.

I looked at Classy Chassis, WH, Highwayman and Douglas - all aluminum bodies. Douglas was the only one under $20K, and offered the most storage per dollar. But they're in CA, and add the price of shipping cross-country to their $15K body and it's still a hefty price. Sweet design though. Knapheide builds a steel body, but it will outlast mine with care. $10K includes the Curt hitch ... that reminds me to take care of my body as well. Between the 40 cubic feet in the body and another 30-40 cubic feet of storage behind the front seats (I ordered the crew cab w/o seats), I'm really happy with all the lockable storage we have outside of the Redwood. I've got a LOT of camera gear and tools, haha!

You might want to check out "Utility Body Werks" in Indiana. They make custom bodies that are beautiful and around the 13-15K price range. I believe they're all aluminum

Yes, I forgot to mention them. You don't get much storage at those prices though. Too late for me, but I bet this will help someone else out. Thanks!

Not to detract for the truck discussion but I'd like to see a photo of the shoes your wife purchased!

Well -
I bring my one pair of tennis shoe, one pair of deck shoes, and one pair of flip flops,

but for her,
there's the 4 x 8 WALL of shoe rack in her closet at home,
and she feels threatened if they all are not with us

so there's the front bedroom closet slots that are her's,
the two gym bags full of flip flops,
and she seen the ottoman pic below, so she wants me to do that to the one in the 38gk
