Pin Box
Thanks for the reply. Firestone already order along with Bilstein shocks so I'll see how that works and also pay close attention to bed rail height. I do believe air bags on hitch do compress and the reason for the interest in the Trail Air is for additional bed rail height. I'll take measurements and see if I have 6 inches.

I have Firestone bags on mine with the via in compressor. A great setup. I installed the equiflex pin box and it gave me 4 1/2 more bed clearance. There is no problem running truck air bags and the air ride pin box

I have Air Lift bags and a Flex-Air pin box. They are fine together. Air ride pin box with an air ride hitch seems to be a problem.

I recently contacted Hensley about the Air King Pin with an Air Hitch and was told that there was no problem at all, and if fact may even enhance the towing experience, giving a smoother ride than either by themselves.

I'm sure it's smooth, but I bet the 5th wheel pitches like a dinghy in rough seas! Hensley is going to tell you what you need to hear to buy their expensive hitches. It would be good to hear from someone that actually has that combination.
I have heard of the air hitch and mor-ryde pin box going well together. Almost like a Flexair only on steroids.

Oh, they included e-mail from customers praising the smooth ride, but agree, anyone can makeup fake e-mails.
I've also asked Lippert if they offer any type of trade-in price on the FlexAir and their answer was "NO".
You hate to change out what you have not knowing if it would help or not.
Just have to continue to watch and see if a trend develops with the Glide section of the Tri-Glide breaking.

I think Ron ran into that too - they wound't even change out the head for him if he paid for it.

I'm going to be switching out my 25k Reese Elite for the ComfortRide Hitch. The guy that originally designed the Hensley did the design work for ComfortRide. It's a similar setup only doesn't use airbags on the hitch. He uses 4-7 Ford rear Axle Snubbers. If you look at the yellowish closed cell urethane bumpers above the rear axles on F350's - that's it.
The one that I will be putting in mine is a 20k unit. The new ones will be a silver cad plated finish (sorry Brad ~ no gold). I was going to change the Tri-Glide to a MORyde Pinbox at the same time but in conversations with him we're going to try it first with the TriGlide and see how it goes. If the TriGlide works well with it, I may bite the bullet and buy a FlexAir. I have AirBags on my truck suspension and am going to add the MORyde RS rear spring hanger setup.
Will let everyone know how it turns out. Probably a couple months away from doing this.

I changed to the Flexair. We've gone from Ohio to Naples FL now. I'm happy with the results. I have bags on the truck that I run about 35lbs, with a Pullrite hitch.

Rotoflex. I wasn't unhappy with it at all, just thought it would be an improvement. I wouldn't have done a Tri-glide.

Reason I asked is that those of us with the factory TriGlide are debating whether it's worth it to upgrade to the FlexAir.

I didn't want anything to do with having to grease it.

Greasing it doesn't bother me, it's just that the Glide section does not work like the Demco Glide. The Demco King Pin stays centered with weight on it and uses that weight to control for and aft movement. My Tri-Glide moves forward when stopping and back when starting from a stop, it's never centered. Maybe the reason Lippert came out with the FlexAir.
