??? Pin box

Looked at a 2017 31sl yesterday. I was expecting to see a Trail Air piston/air bag pin box, but it was different. Looked similar to a MORyde in that it looked like a rubber sandwich. The salesman just said Redwood was moving away from the Trail Air. What is the story on this change?

I have a Rotoflex on mine and have been pretty happy with it. I am sure there are others out there that will give a better ride but there is also something to be said about simplicity. This is an item that is easily upgraded also.

I would have never changed from the rotoflex to the FlexAir if I could have gotten the bedrail clearance with it. It worked great for us. I now have a problem where I have to trim the ears on the back end of the pinbox down as they are rubbing on the tonneau cover in tight turns

That beast of yours rides pretty high and on some tall rubber.. Look good though.
