Shane - that's a great price. For that $$ I would go that way. Cheapest I've been able to find tank was $1185 and another $300 for install. The RDS is $520 including shipping.

That was the best price I could get in 2015
Now they run 1100 t0 2200 installed. Depending on what your requirements are to me it is well worth it

I put the Titan 50 gallon midship tank on, love the fact that I do not have to worry at all about fuel...

That sounds like a good price and viable option. I think I was looking at that or more for a transfill system in the bed. I would much rather have it out of sight like yours.

I have been looking at the RDS 60 gallon tank (without tool box at $529) and the Titan 50 gallon $1,085 (best price i could find). I also found that I can get an RDS 90 gallon for $549. I can no longer do the install so I would have to have the unit installed. I figure I would need Approximately $100 for parts on the RDS unit plus $300 installation. The Titan has all the parts and would also run about $300 to install. So I would be looking at $929 for the 60 gallon RDS vs $1,385 for the Titan. Is the Titan worth the extra money?

Vaughn, Who did you find that included shipping in their price? I've been hitting most of the RDS suppliers and the shipping cost is running $100 to $130.
Was just on the Titan and Tansfer Flow sites and seems the 2017/18 GMs don't have room for a mid-ship tank to replace the OEM, so I have to continue to look at in-bed tanks.

This is another option for fuel tanks. On our 2016 F350 DW we installed a 40 gallon aux. Tayler Wing tank with a 6" tool box that has a transfer pump installed in the tank. It transfers about a 1/4 of the tank in a preset time of 15 minutes, pump is activated from a switch with a gauge mounted on the dash. We also added a hose and nozzle to haul fuel for our tractor and UTV, it is installed inside the tool box which runs off a second pump. We went with the smaller size tank so it was no higher than the bed rail so a tonneau cover can be used to cover the bed and tank. Tayler Wing will design and build per customers needs, they are expensive but built very good products. Taylor Wing also builds wings for pickups and big rigs, tool boxes and various cab racks, etc. We traveled over 13,000 miles this past year from CA to New England stopping at the Redwood Rally, no problems with fuel shortage on entire trip.

Has anyone installed an Aux Tank in a 2017/18 Chevy? If so what install kit did you use?
Looking at the RDS site they claim that the 2017/18 Chevys use the Ford kit as the filler is 1 1/2" vs the older trucks that had a 2" filler neck.
Just trying to get a confirmation.

I installed in my 2018 GMC 3500 using the RDS kit for Chevy/GMC 2011 - present. It fit perfectly. 72743 tank and the 011025 fill kit.

I had a Titan 55 gallon tank installed in my 2017 F350; makes a big difference when fighting head winds over Monida Pass and DTE says 20 miles and next fuel stop is 25! Installed was $1859 in Cdn dollars so about $1450 USD.

I am looking at the 55 gallon Titan Tank for our RAM since it only has a 32 gallon OEM tank (our 2012 GMC had a 36 gallon OEM tank), probably will get titan and install it this spring.

My choice seems to be only an In-Bed Aux Tank, seems GM moved things around and no longer room for a larger replacement tank.

Auxiliary tank

Have a 45 gallon RDS auxilliary tank in bed of truck. The area to connect the brass one-way valve is very tight, as anyone knows, who's ever connected one of these can attest. Somewhere in transit, the valve got compressed enough whereas it's no longer situated in an upright position and it turned 90 degrees causing a twist in the filler tube, so much so, I can no longer pour in diesel. In addition, I believe the brass port pierced enough of the 3/8" black rubber feed tube, that it's causing a leak. Small, but I can see it on the pavement. Point is, I did not install this myself, had a service place do this when they installed OEM puc system to attach my hitch. I'm having the truck box removed again and will inspect, but that's my hunch from what I can see using the vantage point of looking from down under and a mirror. I can see that the filler tube has a significant twist. I'm at a point right now to dismiss the RDS tank altogether and replace my current 34 gallon fuel tank with a Titan 55 gallon tank. It won't give me all the fuel potential I had with the RDS, but it's still 21 gallons more. Found one on XDP for around a grand, install they say is somewhere around 3 + or - hours labor. It's not that I've got $$$ to blow, but the RDS tank is a hassle to remove and reinstall every season when we head south. Yeah, I remove the tank cause I need the space of the entire truck box during the summer for my business. I just connect and disconnect the supply line and secure the bolts holding the tank in place. It's just another thing to store and haul around, and it's big and bulky. Anyone with a Titan tank please weigh in on how you like or dislike it and what has it done to your fuel gauge and computer estimations on mileage?

Titan 55 gal tank works great with our 2017 F350. Gas gauge reads correctly but DTE still thinks tank has 32 gal. The Ford dealer was able to program my 2014 with a Titan to read the correct DTE but the new truck doesn't allow that. I did find a solution in Gilbert (San Tan Ford) but they wanted $100 to program it; aftermarket software kit. I average 10-12 mpg so it's easy to figure out my range. 550-660 miles. More than I like to drive in a day...

I have the 60 gallon gravity fed RDS tank installed. Took me about two hours to install with the help of my wonderful wife. Cutting the main diesel filler line took the longest to do. Be sure to get under the truck to see where the three bolts to secure it will fasten the tank to the bed. Also recommend getting a grommet for the tank's filler hose going through the box's bed. Looks real professional. I now have 108 gallon capacity getting about 1025 miles based upon my 2017 F-350 DRW getting 9.5 mpg towing my Redwood.
