Thanks Jim, and yes there were

PS - I forgot to mention the system does come with the 3 RCA jack output to feed the truck nav system so you don't need a separate monitor, but you would need that $350 device (Lock-Pic) that over-rides the nav system lockout that prevents you from viewing while underway. The older 2011 trucks you could over-ride it I understand, but the new ones requires the device.

Brad, Can you tell me which wireless system you tried? I would really like to go wireless but want to avoid systems that don't.

I tried this one!

RVS-W-CAM | Wireless Quad Camera System | Rear View Safety

In all fairness, I maybe didn't mount the camera high enough, but I didn't want it at the top of the roofline, but I just don't know. Standing still it was perfect- and if I disconnected the truck and drove away it would work almost 300 yards, but down the road, it could not keep up with a moving picture. it would start to jump, hesitate, and even lock up (the same car that passed me and is in front of me would still be on the rear camera stuck in motion). Probably half the time it lost signal all together.

Some have had good luck with the Voyager wireless, but that was twice the cost.

I have been looking at the camera you mentioned. It guarantees no interference up to 70 feet. I didn't want to have to go through the hassle of wiring the whole camper, so wireless was the way I wanted to go, but I may just go with a wired system to be safe.

The biggest problem with that system is the antenna is fixed to the camera, so unless you mount it at or above the roof line, its going all the way through the rig. I think that may have been my issue, but I didn't want my camera above the marker lights, or that light would impact the night vision ability.

There are other camera systems such as the one Redwood now offers that is hardwired up to the nose of the 5er then goes wireless. Those may do a little better.
