Nice job! It will certainly help in knowing what's back there.

I just installed it - didn't work as advertised. Great picture standing still, but down the road it loses the picture off and on, the video feed is choppy, and it locks up so the car that passes you is still in the picture. Not what I had hoped for. In addition, the audio is always on, even with the volume all the way down. Annoying.

Hope they honor the guarantee!

from what I can see on our new rv there is a repeater wireless module in the cabinet above the linc system for the camera I guess that covers half the distance from the camera to the truck to avoid camera loss while using it

I see that the new Cedar Creeks, have a repeater attached on the side of the rig (driver's side) about half-way in between. This must eliminate the fading and signal loss from the wireless camera.

So much for being wireless if you have to hardwire a reciever closer to the TV to
Get reception may as well use hardwired cameras and have no problems.

Sorry to hear about your experience. How far apart is your monitor to your rear camera, within the 70 feet? I would be interested to hear the company's response to your problems. Do you think a booster would help?
Thanks,
Dan

From the rear to cab can only be about 50' or so, so I don't think it is a range problem. Interference maybe.

I'm not aware of a booster system I can get for it. The antenna is fixed to the camera, so I can't relocate it forward.

The company policy looks like it is clear that they will take it back or even exchange it within 30 days. My only concern is if that policy carries to the 3rd party online company I got it from. I will need to find out when we return from vacation.

Well I just got my Rearviewsafety hardwired camera and monitor and returned the wireless. I notice it has RCA outputs for the camera, and My Sync accepts the RCA jacks, but in motion it restricts it. Gosh $349 is a lot of bucks for that lockpick to over-ride that - cant bring myself to go that route yet. I'll probably just use the monitor it came with.

Not sure if it is still possible with the newer Fords, but might want to research and see if you can still cut and ground the wire that cuts it out. Might be all in the GPS now. In the past you could bypass it and see video while driving and enter Navigation. The lockpick is working great once I got around a few things, i can see the RW camera in motion and backing up, the hitch camera while hooking up and then after towing, make it so my stock backup camera comes on automagically when backing. Ain't cheap though.

I do, LockPick CHR550. Super easy install. It has 4 camera options, iPod options, head rest camera options, etc, etc. I have a camera in the bed of my truck for the hitch, the stock rearview camera and the RW rear camera. I can see all of them while going down the road.

well that's good to hear it works, but not available through a lot of places right now for some reason (like amazon).

I was watching some u-tube about hitting the phone button when the defeat screen comes up and it would allow you to over-ride by confirming the passenger will be using it, but it may be for 2012 and back. I'll have to try sometime.

Since I've sold my truck, anyone want the ford plug and play harness where you hijack the tailgate camera connection and connect your 5er camera to it ?

Pay for shipping from 76063 and it's yours

John, did you still run a lockpick or something? I understand that let you relocate to a different camera, but still only worked in reverse and locked out over 5 mph with a lockpick?

No lockpick or anything...

just use a regular wired camera on the back of the rv and
instead of the camera in the tailgate feeding the monitor up front,
the harness was connected to the rear camera and fed the monitor.

I've got an old hunting stand seat that I'm going to strap to the ladder. That way, I can put the DW up there with a 2 way radio to report anything that might be amiss
