Reese Titan 20K Fifth Wheel Hitch
We have the Reese Titan 20K Fifth Wheel Hitch in our truck. It has worked very will with the RW. On our last trip I noticed some play in the Head Pivot. The Rubber Isolators were completely worn through and it was riding metal to metal on one side and the other is just about gone. I can get all the replacement parts for this from Amazon and the total cost is just a little over 100.00. Does anyone else use this Hitch and have you had any issues with the Isolators wearing out? The ones in the hitch are at least 6 years old.

Sorry but the Reese Titan 20k had an internal failure which caused the locked jaw to open when (fortunately) I was doing the pull test. Long story short I trashed the Titan ($1000 mistake) & bought a Curt Q20 hitch. What a difference ! User friendly & piece of mind.

I Looked up to see if there are any reported failures and did not find any reports. Do you have more details do not want to have the trailer come loose. Have pulled the trailer for two and half years with no issues over 6000 miles logged

After this incident occurred, I could not get the jaw to lock on the pin. We were very frustrated since we were leaving in a few days for a trip so I went to "Leonard Bldgs" in Rustburg,Va. that I've done business with before who also carries RV hitches & is very trustworthy. We both removed the Reese and investigated. Found a PLASTIC internal part that had broken causing the problem. We both agreed that pursuing a refund or settlement against Reese would be more trouble than it was worth so I just chalked it up as a loss & bought the Curt which I've been happy with. This may have just been an abnormality with that part & hope that this post doesn't raise concern with you. Wish I had more info..... just a heads up.

Did you happen to notify Reese of the problem in case it could be a parts defect....I'm sure other Titan owners would appreciate any information...

I'm thinking of replacing my Reese 20K with a Curt A20. Anyone out there have the Curts?

I have a Curt Q24, been using it for a number of years, I like the hitch.
Recently bought the Puck Mounting brackets from Curt for my hitch to install in our new 2018 RAM.
Now I like our Curt Hitch even more, we always had some clunking with the Hitch in the Rails mounted to the bed of the truck, now with the Factory Puck mounting system, hitch is solid with no noise or clunking.

Negative..... I just let my Curt hitch dealer “trash” the Reese for me.....didn’t want to go thru the aggravation of shipping back the Reese to have them “examine” the “possible defect” & make their decision. Expensive lesson $$ but at least we have peace of mind now with the Curt.
