Suggestions for new hitch

I am looking at getting a new hitch. Any suggestions as to pro and cons between a single jaw hitch and double? I am replacing an existing slider hitch and so have standard bed rails already installed on truck.
Doug.

If your budget will allow I'd pull rails install B&W Turnoverball, new Companion and line X the bed covering up the holes. You will have a hitch that will outlast your truck, that's made in the USA with USA steel.

I have the B&W companion and although I like the hitch, I'd be tempted to go with the Hensley Trailer Saver Air Ride Hitch. If you go this way, you can't use the Tri-Glide hitch pin box.

I'm just not satisfied with the actions of the Tri-Glide yet.

I have the Hensley trailer saver ts3 with smart air. It will sit in your rails, only con is that it weight 280 lbs. I have the standard pin box no slider in a short bed. It's sweet hook up raise landing gear it leaves the trailer automatically. You can go to trailer saver.com and get a free package.

I went w/ the Comfort Ride Hitch
20140718_181710.jpg from a recommendation. I understand that the inventor of the Hensley Trailer Saver Air Ride Hitch created the "Precision Custom Hitch" which Hensley contested due to a "non compete clause" so he sold the business to Comfort Ride and retired.

On my F350 I have the Roll and Lock cover and the hitch fits beneath just fine. Nice to have a cover over the hitch when not towing. Not sure how the depth of the bed compares w/ your Dodge.

How much did that cost and do you still have any chucking with it?

$1489 plus $50 for shipping as they honored the original Precision Hitch price and shipping - that web site is no longer alive and the price now from Comfort Ride is a tad more.

As to chucking - haven't pulled a lot yet, (less then 1K miles) but what we have, we didn't experience anything that alarmed us. We've only test driven around the Austin area.

Years ago we pulled an Excel 36 w/ a short bed F250 with a Super Glide and compared to that, yes, this was much better. It's hard to say if that was due to the suspension of the F350 or the hitch as this is the only hitch on the F350 we've had.

Before we purchased, we met with an owner of the hitch who traveled a lot w/ the hitch and for him, the chucking was minimal compared to his previous hitch which I don't remember what it was. His claim, and also what we experienced, was a smooth ride. He pulled w/ a Chevy 3500 and said the difference to his previous hitch was quite significant.
