I would take this article very lightly. This persons opinion was based on a survey of subscribers to CR. They received 500,000 responses on vehicles manufactured between 2000 and 2018. I personally have never talked to anyone with a late model Ram who had serious issues. I had my 2013 for 5 years and 90,000 miles with only one trip to the dealer for a bad DEF injector. Paid 41K new and when it was totaled out by insurance after being struck by lightning they gave me 32.5K for it. When I buy again it will likely be a Ram. Hard to beat a Cummins for reliability!

"The models featured here are the 10 least reliable vehicles based on our Annual Reliability Survey."

How Does CR Get Its Reliability Information?
Where Is the Data From?
Consumer Reports obtains its reliability data from an Annual Questionnaire that is sent to members of CR.org and Consumer Reports magazine. In all, we received responses on over 500,000 vehicles in our latest survey, detailing 2000 to 2018 models.

Well, my 2013 Ram 3500 Turbo diesel DRW has 56,000 miles on it and the worst problem I have had is bad fuel. Watch out for pumps that are very slow. They may have clogged filters that are bypassed and fill your tank with krud!

Yes fuel source is a critical thing but not really the trucks fault. My filters were always fairly clean when I replaced them but I was real picky about my fuel source.
