Satellite systems for sale

I have two satellite systems for sale. The first one is a Winegard Anser, single satellite semi-automatic asking $300.00. The second is the X2 it can see both DISH satellites and will support two TV's, if you want to watch two channels on the same satellite. I am asking $375.00 for the X2. My wife and I may very will be interested in your X2, however found ourselves wondering what you didn't like about the unit. We see this unit as being our sole entertainment source once we start fulltiming next week. We would appreciate knowing a little more about your experiences with the equipment.

I will be honest with you. Winegard advertises this unit to support two TV's on two different channels and while this true, both channels have to be on the same satellite. So when my wife would visit we would have conflict over what we were going to watch. I loved the set up of the X2 hook it up and forget.

As long as both channels are on the same sat there are no problems but as stated, if on different sats then no go.

The one advantage with the X2 is it can receive from both DISH arcs whereas most of the other DISH antennas can only be aimed at either the Eastern or Western arc depending on which LNB it is equipped with. The Trav'ler will only work on the western arc for multiple sats though you can aim for a single sat on the eastern arc.

That's all I ever got when I had the dome on the roof, and it was pretty easy to get used to.

The dome could only see one satellite at a time and would toggle back and forth between satellites when the master TV selected channels. The slave TV could watch anything it wanted, as long as it was from the same satellite the master was watching.

Not a bad compromise for a fully automatic portable antenna, especially as a backup to a fixed roof antenna when trees are an issue.

Did you try Craigslist? Seems they would go pretty fast locally without the shipping issue.

Atom Ant we do have them on Craig's list advertising them for tailgating, but many of the inquiry's don't understand the pay has you go from DISH.

Happy News Atom ant! I noticed you stated you "Had" the dome on your roof. My assumption is given you said "had" you went with something else?????? We will be moving the last of our belongings out of the sticks and brick over the next few days and I have no way of watching the Bronco's. I think I am going to hate this fulltiming thing LOL

Sometimes I don't think Dish understands the pay as you go either, at least when we call them

Maybe after a few RV shows get going, the camping spirit will set back in and they will sell!

Hi Darrell! Best of luck on your new lifestyle!

We had the Roadtrip SD dome on our Montana and it served well for years, but we left it on the Montana and went with the Traveler automatic on this one. It is an elliptical automatic retractable dish and can see all of the satellites at once. The only problem is you have to commit to Dish or Direct, because the Travelers are designed for one or the other, unlike the dome that just required flipping some dip switches.

JellyStone...there are very few sat antennas that will let you utilize two sats at the same time, the Trav'ler will, as far as I know all the other Winegard's for DISH will not.

The SK-SWM3 DIRECTV Slimline or the Dish version is a great auto seeking HD system. Ours has worked flawlessly for almost 2 years full timing.
