Email Notifications

I not sure if this is happening to everyone, but every time somebody responds to a thread started on the old forum, it sends me an email and I have to manually go in and unsubscribe.

New threads do not do that if your default is set to not send an email.

I did have that problem at first and it took a bit to 'clean out' the request since the initial default setting was for instant notifications.... and I reset it a couple of times and saved...

I THINK I'm over the hump now...

So much for my theory. Jonnyboys response went to my email and it was a new thread.

Hi Brad - I finally figured out how to stop the emails. Go to:
- User CP
- Select "Edit Options"
- Under "Messaging & Notifications"
- In the 2nd heading (Default Thread Subscription Mode) drop down box select "Do Not Subscribe"

Spent the last couple of days repeatedly unsubscribing, but kept getting more emails. Final found this yesterday & haven't had any emails all day.

Cool thanks Andy! Not a big deal, but an annoyance in general.

You bet Brad, we get enough email, more junk mail is just a minor annoyance. I had gone in an unsubscribed to them a couple of time and finally figured their had to be another switch to turn them off.
