Microwave issue

Microwave turntable stopped working. Also , couldn't explain why plastic cover for covering food was melted. My dealer,checked into things thru Electrolux , which is company that services the Frigidaie Microwave and told me to shut the breaker off to it immediately as it can start up on it's own and posibibly start on fire. There is a Recall on it but I never received any notice on this but do have it in motion now

Nor did I ever receive a notice... just from the discussions here did I know.

FYI, I called redwood and frigidare, they both said call the other, so tried calling my extended warranty company, they said call frigidare...

To limit the possibility of a fire and stop from having to pull a ladder out to plug in the mocrowave, I put a surge protector between the MW and the wall outlet so it made it easier to toggle the power when we needed it and didn't...

RW replaced mine, no questions asked! But that was a couple years ago before this rash of warranty denials.

Redwood replaced ours last year right after we bought it. Ours started on its own. Just lucky it didn't catch fire!
