Hope,
To be honest, yes I do say I wish I had gotten the 36, I think those extra feet make a big difference on the inside. We have had up to 7 adults in my trailer at once during a rain storm at football game and it was cramped. If I had it to do all over again, probably would have gone with 36, this disk brakes. Happy hunting and good luck

Hi, Thank you so much for your response. We are still going over which model would/will work for us. I love that the 31sl is roomy enough for two; fit's into all spaces.. but, I really like the 36rl too! Did you ever say in your head; shoot... wish we would of gone with the 36?....this is "the wife"...I just want to make the right decision we are on our 3rd purchase and with grand-kids coming in the near future....just want to have enough space. Do you have larger crowds in your trailer? Do you find it's enough space with more adults? Thanks for your input!

Mark & Hope,
Thanks for the note, there is not a lot of room with the queen, but you can walk around the bed. I am 6'4 and have no issues sleeping or moving around in the trailer. I did not get disk brakes, but I use a F350 dually to pull it with and so far have not had any issues at all and we routinely row over Afton mountain here in VA. What sold me on the 31SL was it was only 34 feet long, had the highest cargo carrying capacity as it has the same suspension and brakes as the 40 foot Redwoods.
Your son is doing something special, the Navy nuclear program is a premier organization and selection for entry is extremely rigorous. I was a marine propulsion engineer myself, but stayed away from the nuclear program, I enjoyed my time off too much.
Take care.

Thank you for the positive comments !!
We are moving on from our current senset trail which was good to us but when we saw the redwoods we knew where we were going. The 31 is most likely the trailer we are going to purchase.
Couple questions.... you say the queen makes the bedroom work which I believe....just making sure as our trailer now is tight !! it's only a 30' but that's one of my biggest things.
Did you buy your trailer with the residential refer ?? Seems it would have more space and look a bit better but is it worth it ?
Did you purchase yours with disc brakes ? To me it might be nice but since I'm old I drive slow and not really worried about sudden stops, besides if it's that sudden won't really matter.
thanks for the input it truly makes a difference.
My son just upped from the Air Force to the Navy 's nuclear officers program and I couldn't be more proud.
Hope you are enjoying your travels !!
